Huge STAR WARS EPISODE VII Spoiler Reveals The Franchise's Most Shocking Twist To Date

There have been a lot of twists and turns in the history of the Star Wars franchise, but if this latest spoiler supposedly from J.J. Abrams' Star Wars Episode VII is to be believed, prepare to have that iconic "I Am Your Father!" moment pale in comparison. Read on for details...

When I came across the following information on Making Star Wars last night, I shrugged it off as poorly written fan fiction and decided against posting it. I'm not familiar enough with the site to trust it was a legit piece of information and the details are more than a little hard to believe as I'm sure you will agree after reading it below (though a big part of me would advise you to avoid it like the plague as this is the kind of spoiler which could ruin the entire movie for you in one fell swoop).

However, a number of other sites - including Badass Digest and /Film - have gone some way in verifying its legitimacy, and so below you can find the latest details from Star Wars Episode VII which will most definitely shock you and could potentially even upset longtime fans of the franchise. It sounds as if the information is based on concept art, but I still have a hard time believing 99.9% of details we've had aren't bogus, especially with J.J. Abrams in charge.

After all, from all the sites to choose from, why send concept art and photos of Stormtroopers to one - "Indie Revover" - that none of us had even heard of this time two month ago? Seems iffy.

If this is true though, it's a huge game changer for the franchise and a massive twist which will seemingly come right at the end of the movie, leaving us two years to find out how it happened and what it all means. This actually conflicts with a lot of what we've already heard (and doesn't make a whole lot of sense based on the fact that Mark Hamill is growing a beard and yesterday it was Max von Sydow who was supposed to be half cyborg). So, once again, MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD

One piece shows this cloaked figure holding the helmet of Darth Vader. The helmet is warped as it has been burned in a fire. The figure almost looks at the helmet with remorse and regret. The background in this image is an Imperial Star Destroyer. The monster holds the helmet in his left hand while his right hand is shown to be very similar to Anakin Skywalker’s and perhaps Luke Skywalker’s.

The black figure sits on a throne. He’s cloaked. We see him from the side. His boots are not unlike Anakin Skywalker’s from Revenge of the Sith. He is approached by “Kira.” The light from outside the shrine emanates from the door way and she walks through it. The cloaked figure sits in darkness, a natural red/yellow fiery light behind him, almost like amber backlights the figure. According to a source, “Kira” believes she is there to meet Luke Skywalker, but instead she finds the monster. In another depiction, she is facing the camera, the cyborg character is embracing her and the look on her face is one of resignation and defeat. We are looking over a character’s shoulder, of what is believed to be Boyega’s character.

So why does “Kira” appear to give up? The reason for her resignation? The cyborg is none other than Luke Skywalker. The revelation beats “Kira” and her quest becomes hopeless. She resigns herself to joining the figure who is the opposite of what she hoped to find. The evil she sought to vanquish with the power of Luke Skywalker, is Luke Skywalker. We are left not knowing the future and how this happened. The cloak appears to be especially close to Luke Skywalker’s Return of the Jedi cloak as well.

Didn't Luke get cloned or some shit from his hand he lost in Empire? Luke fought Luke and all. Is that what they are doing? Or are they just making Luke a robot evil guy like his daddy before him?

I seriously doubt this is true, i could see it happening in episode 8. But in 7? NOOOOOO way, its been so long since they've played the characters, no way is luke gonna be evil.

Seriously, why have him grow the beard to have it covered by a cyborg face. Maybe this is the Emperor instead of Luke?

Could be Luke but a lot of stuff doesn't add up. So far I've been cool with the recent rumors but this kinda erases the whole ending of ROTJ doesn't it?

@yossarian No, he didn't get clones. When he fought "himself," it was an illusion created by the dark side of the force. It was supposed to be foreshadowing for the revelation about Vader being his daddy.

You guys are all citing the beard as evidence for this being false, but where does it say that the cyborg-elements of Luke affect his face? I'm reading it as his hand is metallic. He could very well still have the bearded face, but meant to look more menacing than Obi-Wan-equse.

Interesting twist! So I guess Luke didn't escape his father's legacy.

This doesn't make sense to me for a number of reasons and neither does the fact that none of the sites running all those leaked pieces of concept art have been asked by Disney to remove them. Sure, you could argue that doing so would confirm their legitimacy, but that never stops 'em usually! I believe that all of these so-called Star Wars scoops are bullshit (the cyborg character has now been rumoured to be Luke, Sydow's character, Adam Driver's character AND a new villain), but I have no problem with posting them when there's a chance, especially if it stops another user running an article with the spoiler right in the headline. I'm buying none of it though and would actually hate this.

On an unrelated note, saw Gone Girl today and if any of you guys still think Ben Affleck won't be the best Batman ever, you're crazy. :)

It's probably Luke's clone or something. They can't ruin Luke like that

JJ wouldn't be so stupid to turn the face of the franchise upside down against us. We already had a tale of redemption with the original trilogy.

If this is true it would be such a bummer to know about. Reminds of the Simpsons. When Marge and Homer are leaving the theater after seeing Episode 5 and Homer says "Who would've thought Darth Vader was Lukes father" and everyone in line hears him.

This actually makes a little sence, if you remember some spoilers posted a few months back they said that luke would defeat whatever the weapon our evil was on the sith homeworld. But it would FOREVER CHANGE HIM. i think we will get bearded jedi luke most of the movie then after he defeats whatever it is on the sith homeworld it turns him into crazy cyborg luke and that luke will be the final shot of the movie. Reflecting on how he is now just like his father, more machine than man now
