UPDATE: Ezra Miller To Play Movie Version Of THE FLASH; Jason Momoa Confirmed For AQUAMAN
We can forget seeing Grant Gustin suit up as the Scarlet Speedster on the big screen - following the unveiling of Warner Bros. DC Comics release slate - Ezra Miller will play The Flash.
Following the reveal of their upcoming DC Comics movies (which you can read all about by clicking here), Warner Bros. have revealed that Ezra Miller will play the big screen version of The Flash. You'll have to click on the link above for details on when and where he'll turn up, but this obviously confirms that we won't see any sort of crossover between the television and movie universes. It's worth noting that Miller bears something of a resemblence to Star Wars Episode VII's Adam Driver who was said to be up for the role of Nightwing in Batman v Supeman: Dawn of Justice, but it could be that he was in fact being lined up for The Flash instead. This is an unexpected choice, but Miller has delivered stellar performances in movies The Perks of Being a Wallflower and We Need to Talk About Kevin. Also made official by the studio is the fact that Jason Momoa will indeed be playing Aquaman, finally putting an end to all of that tedious speculation! How do you guys feel about this latest casting news? Be sure to sound off with your thoughts in the usual place.
UPDATE: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Miller will indeed be playing Barry Allen - the same character Grant Gustin stars as in The CW series - as, "The story centers on Barry Allen, a man with super speed and super-fast reflexes." How do you feel about separate movie and TV universes?
