From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team—the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits—Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand—with the galaxy’s fate in the balance.

Starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gilian, Djimon Hounsou, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close and Benicio del Toro, Guardians of the Galaxy is set to be released digitally this month and on DVD and Blu-ray in December.

My favorite 2014 Movie! :D

Infinity War aside, dunno why but even with Black Panther, Captain Marvel, and Civil War ahead, GOTG 2 is my most anticipated Phase 3 Film!!!

Great and one of Marvel's best but it doesn't beat Cap: TWS. That movie was a game changer. Cinematic Cap would kick anyone other film superheroes' ass lol.

Can't wait for civil war and black panther. My most antcicpated phase threes. I feel like Inhumans will be amazing. That world is crazy cool. It should be a mix of something like Xmen meets GOT. Inhumans has a lot of royal familial drama.

GOTG 2 isn't really on my radar when I'm trying to focus on Civil War, Black Panther, Cap Marvel and Infinity War(s). Nothin against it though, hope its great.

Haven't cried in a movie since forever, but this movie was a REAL tear-jerker! Felt really emotional during the movie's introduction, then when Rocket got drunk. Jesus! Even when Drax says that he will fight alongside Quill and at the end he'll reunite with his daughter and wife! But my breaking point came later... I teared up like a baby during "WE ARE GROOT" and then when Peter finally took his mother's hand after 26 years, even if it was actually Gamora... So emotional!!! SUCH AND EPIC AND CLIMATIC SCENE!!!

I agree 100%
Most of Marvel's movies, although I love most of them, have the worst climaxes. They try so hard to keep up the laugh count that they sacrifice a good action-packed or dramatic scene. Iron Man 2 probably would not be as frowned upon had the final battle with Whiplash actually been a final battle. I honestly can't stand the GOTG dance-off shit. Love most of the rest of the movie (bar Quill and Gamora's rushed romance). No battle with Ronan though? Weak.

I didn't like the part with the infinity gem / ronan face off. That looked just too corny and the CGI was eye blinding.

I hope we can get more practical effects and less over the top explosion action scenes.

@PietroMaximoff

They never had a chance against Ronan in direct combat. That's why they tried to basically assassinate him with the most powerful weapon they had, which also didn't work. So they did the only thing they could in their desperation - try at all costs to get their hands on a MORE powerful weapon and hope for the best. That involved a certain distraction, that somehow seems to be a challenge for people to understand.

PeterDarker121 - 11/28/2014, 6:30 PM
@Kyos That "certain distraction" is something that is either frowned upon or completely foreign to the farthest reaches of space, and that is HUMANITY: I.E. "song" and "dance". One of, if not the most HUMAN of attributes.

Has anyone noticed that there IS no music (other than from Quill's Walkman) that is a part of the film or of that universe?

Has anyone noticed that although their "tech" is light years away from ours, Music is seen as "pelvic sorcery" at BEST?

Quill was a young boy plucked out of 1988.

For those who were alive during that year(and the previous/ongoing decade), MTV was a' bourning. A show called 'Miami Vice', debuting in 1985 after some of the worst racial riots in American history, introduced EVERY American to the power of a MUSICAL SOUNDTRACK to every action we made. It continues to this day. For those who were born AFTER this...well, I guess this all seems foreign to you.

So....Ronan is CORNY. he doesn't even GET what's happening here on Earth because he never cared enough about something like a '9/11. He probably LAUGHED about it. He never heard Quill's "soundtrack," he never heard Michael Jackson's 'Thriller', never would CARE about about a 'Kurt Cobain.'

That describes a lot of peeps on this site.

It also describes why I'm gonna leave this site shortly.

AND....among other moments in the film, I cried from the time 'Yondu' killed all dem fools to 'Drax' exhalting to when the 'Nova Corps' connected. That was a BIG moment for me. I never even imagined that...

@Megeoff88 It's the 'Holy Trinity Temple of Morag' shot. Good luck tgrying to post it.

To those of you who can't let go of the dance-off challenge, try looking at some of the weirder diversionary tactics that have been used (actually used) throughout history. A dance-off is pretty tame compared to what's been done. But, then again, I don't think some of the people who bitch about this are truly as upset about it as they claim. It's amazing how some of these people can watch movies about flying people, aliens, and all other kinds of weirdness and, yet, THIS is where they draw their "realism" line. Bitch. Please.

It's fascinating how differently people function. We both were affected by the Quill scene, but that MoS scene is among my least favourite CBM scenes, like, ever. But I'm glad it worked for you! :)

@Kyos haha that's what fascinates me about all the trolling and hate on this site. We're all fans of comic book movies and/or comic book characters, but we won't agree or like all the same things.

I love college and NFL football, as do most of my friends. However, I love MLB more, most of my friends don't even like baseball, but we still get along. C'est la vie. haha

@mgeoff88 Sweet! That's the one! I was trying to just post the picture by itself but its a part of Gunn's Instagram account. I guess I COULD have just posted a link...lol

@KennyPowersEsq I know, right? That's how it's supposed to be. Off-topic, but I wish our politicians thought the same way....
