CONFIRMED: Here's The Synopsis For Josh Trank's THE FANTASTIC FOUR

Remember that synopsis for Josh Trank's The Fantastic Four from Rotten Tomatoes which started doing the rounds last month? There was a lot of speculation that it may not have been real or was simply based on an old logline, but Fox themselves have now confirmed its legitimacy...

IGN have reached out to Fox and confirmed that the synopsis for The Fantastic Four is the real deal. Most doubted its legitimacy at the time, so in case you missed it, here it is again for you:

"THE FANTASTIC FOUR, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel's original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways.Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy."

That last line must be a nod to Doctor Doom then, right?

Well, what if it's actually Mole Man? Tim Blake Nelson is playing eccentric and socially awkward scientist Harvey Elder, and apparently
works for Sue and Johnny's father just like in the comic books, so he could fit the "former friend turned enemy" line. Doom seems more likely right now though, and at least we now know that we'll be paying some sort of visit to the Negative Zone (or N-Zone) in this movie! This doesn't reveal an awful lot, but it gives us plenty to mull over!

Oh boy...I'll give them credit that an alternate universe take hasn't been done before, but it's going to be iffy.

alternate universe is so much better. It was always a stretch (yes I did) for me to buy the origin of them being astronauts. This idea seems way more plausible.

This is a movie that Hollywood is making for themselves not the fans...the fans which are speaking very loud on this page yet the Hollywood is doing what they want...I would say this is not a good business deal.
