How did Matt Nable feel about being the one to kill Oliver Queen? Well, he certainly wasn't expecting such a vocal reaction based on his comments here anyway! Check out the new Arrow featurette below for his thoughts on that and more (including how the exciting fight sequence was put together), then be sure to share your Ra's al Ghul thoughts in the usual place.

RA’S AL GHUL GIVES OLIVER AN ULTIMATUM; DINAH LANCE PAYS LAUREL A VISIT — Nyssa (guest star Katrina Law) returns to Starling City and tells Oliver (Stephen Amell) that her father, Ra’s al Ghul (guest star Matt Nable) has given Oliver 48 hours to find Sara’s killer or the League of Assassins will start killing the citizens of Starling City. Laurel (Katie Cassidy) is stunned when her father (Paul Blackthorne) delivers a very special Christmas gift – her mother, Dinah (guest star Alex Kingston). Meanwhile, Ray (Brandon Routh) tries to make amends with Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) and Oliver sets a meeting with Ra’s al Ghul. Thor Freudenthal directed the episode written by Jake Coburn & Keto Shimizu (#309).

that was a cool fight but that scene where we see the blades from above, he missed ra's without ra's moving by about a foot.

@Jollem,

Yeah he was awesome on Riddick and he is a decent ra's don't get me wrong... but that Arrow "fight" was just abysmal.

I thought the fight was excellent. Missing that badly could easily be explained by Oliver trying to anticipate Ra's' movements and getting it all wrong. They needed to emphasize that Oliver simply isn't on that level, not even close. They accomplished that.

JUst give us the real Green Arrow with out all the soap opera drama. Just one episode. This show still refuses to keep people dead AND apparently a short handful of years of training is enough to become a crime fighting hero. Oh wait.....now it's been trimmed down to a few months. A skinny, chick with little to nothing become's the new Black Canary. Uh-huh. Sure. Would I have bought this in a different setting? Something more comic book? Maybe, but when they set these characters is ultra realistic settings and then break that rule that's when it stands out like either a sore thumb or laziness because they cram in off the wall stuff when it suits them because it's "easier" that way.

@Jollem,

Matt Nable Ra's is good, but that fight sucks and I really like Arrow, but whatever.

Haters gonna hate, yet this is still the best cbs on tv. Bar none, except The Flash!

@Batmaniac: I wouldn't say that's ALL they are, but you do make a good point. They've always had that particular theme. Anyway, I think the fight was fantastic in that it illustrated just how in over his head Oliver really is. It had to be a 'mess' in order to point that out.

I like the skill of Ra's' stunt double. Lets hope he will be in the next episode.

Matt Nable isn't a horrible Ras but during that fight, seeing obvious "Stuntman Ras" just pulled me out of the scene tbh.

Arrows fight choreography is amazing , sure there are a few misses once in a while, like a few of the shots in that fight, but the fight as a whole was still amazing, better than anything else on tv

@ Backwardgalaxy - EXACTLY! The fact that Ras started the fight without weapons, and then subsequently used Ollie's against him to win the fight and "kill" him completely demonstrates that fact.

I like nabel in the Role. Espeically the way he speaks. It comes off with the superiority it nees, but still sounds intellectual. I love the speech he gave about his first kill.

@Maguire777 - Sexist much? Comics aren't for teenage girls? Really? WOW! And I have to agree with Batmaniac about there bein soap-opera drama in comics. All the relationship stuff, and family stuff. It isn't all action and fighting villains. The show has to have some of that as well, or else it just becomes mindless action drivel. And the drama on this show doesn't even come near the leveles that were in Smallville. At least this show wears it's comicbook origins and genre proud and can have the full on action, same with The Flash. If you want to call supporting character interaction soap-opera drama, then just about EVERY show has it.
