Now He Can't Be 'Luke Cage', Terry Crews Sets Sights On ANOTHER Marvel Role
Mike Colter has been cast in Marvel and Netflix's A.K.A. Jessica Jones, leaving longtime fan favourite Terry Crews (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) out in the cold. However, he has another Marvel role in mind. Who? Well, he might want to give Josh Trank a call! Read on for details...
Terry Crews was a fan-favourite choice to play Luke Cage for years, and the actor knew it too. He constantly expressed his interest in playing the Marvel character and unlike Tyrese Gibson, it never felt desperate; just that he was interested in and passionate about the role.
Of course, Mike Colter has since been cast as Luke Cage in Marvel and Netflix's A.K.A. Jessica Jones, putting an end to Crews' Hero for Hire dreams. However, in a recent reddit AMA, he revealed that he now has his eye on ANOTHER role in a different corner of the Marvel Universe. "It’s hard to pick a favorite superhero," he replied when asked who he would be interested in playing. "I always did love Luke Cage, and I’m really, really happy about who they cast in the Netflix version of Luke Cage. So that’s something that’s already done. But you know who else I’d like to play? The Silver Surfer. I alwaysLOVED — I thought I had the build, the body, I could get on that surfboard, and if they ever do a live-action version of Silver Surfer, I think that would be perfect for me."
What do you guys think about these latest comments? Crews is a great actor and a lot of fun in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, so it would be good to see him in a comic book movie at some point!
