Will Smith Promises To Deliver The "Biggest Historical Image" Of 'Deadshot' In SUICIDE SQUAD

Will Smith talks here about delivering the definitive take on Deadshot in Suicide Squad after the villain's "little appearances here and there" (sorry, Arrow fans), while Margot Robbie weighs in on possibly making multiple appearances as Harley Quinn in the DC Cinematic Universe.

So far, we've only seen a live-action Deadshot in Smallville and Arrow, with the version from the latter very well liked by comic book fans. However, it's Will Smith who looks set to deliver the definitive take on the character in David Ayer's Suicide Squad, and he knows it! "With this character and the DC world, I love that I’m getting the opportunity for the global definition of Deadshot," he says in the video above. "There’s been Deadshot in little appearances here and there, there’s an idea, but Deadshot isn’t defined, really. I get to be a part of the creation that will be the biggest historical image of Deadshot." That doesn't seem like a swipe at Arrow to be fair as Suicide Squad WILL be the first time audiences get their first proper look at the villain. Be sure to keep watching as Margot Robbie teases Harley Quinn's future as well! Thoughts on these comments?

Well it sounds like Robbie has been doing research.

So much for that person who said that no one has done any research for their character.

This movie is about to be called "Deadshot and friends". He's about to be in 92% of the shots in this movie. Look at how news about the movie is being reported. The reports have only been about Will and Maggie's character. Jared Leto's Joker is going to be the BIGGEST part of this movie.

#HOT RUMOR Found out who Jay Hernandez is playing in #SUICIDESQUAD. Chato Santana aka EL DIABLO. It is a small role, no more than a cameo in the film. He is a prisoner being held in the super powered criminal part of the prison with (rumored) KILLER FROST, BLOCK BUSTER, KING SHARK, & LIVE WIRE amongst others. #DC #DCCU

Will in my opinion is not who I picture as Deadshot, plus with his recent movies being duds, I hope he can pull it off. I think he can, at least I hope so. I really hope that Deadshot will get to use a sniper like he does in the comics. I prefer him being far away from the action and taking out his enemies without them seeing him. That version is always the one that comes to my mind over the one fighting a close range. He's more tactical like that. If I'm not mistaken it has been said in the comics he can hit a target that is over a mile long and the size of a pea. So I'd like to see a scene like that in the film.

I just hope we get more of a subtle type of Deadshot, perhaps resembling this piece of Concept Art:

He's always been a good actor. Crazy method though, he just makes questionable decisions in real life

@dio

I'm speculating but it seems perfect for a semi-followup to Suicide Squad that Ayer could direct.
