Felipe Smith and Juan Gedeon put the pedal to the metal as familiar Spirits of Vengeance duel one other in lethal, cutthroat races! “This is the book that every GHOST RIDER fan is going to dig,” says Senior Editor Mark Paniccia. “We’re not losing the heart and soul of the concept—the human drama of holding the demons at bay—especially with Robbie Reyes, but by God we’re leaning into the vehicle design, speed and hellfire of it all. It’s visual dynamite.”

Welcome to the scorching hot track of the most popular arena on Battleworld – for the one and only spectacle known as the GHOST RACES! Enslaved and bound to the arena, cursed souls race at the speed of sin – anything and everything goes. The only rule? No rules! Friendships, loyalties and family bonds will be tested. All in the name of the top prize. Win the Ghost Races – earn temporary freedom from the Arena. But what happens to the unlucky and unholy losers?

“The designs from Juan Gedeon are incredible,” continued Paniccia. “The Riders are recognizable but we’ve pushed them to the extreme and that’s what’s getting everyone around the office, the creators working on this—and the few people who’ve seen sneak peeks—so excited. These are such wicked twists on Johnny, Danny, Alejandra and more you’ll lose your @%$#. You’ve never seen GHOST RIDERS like this before!”

Robbie Reyes, Johnny Blaze, Danny Ketch, Alejandra Blaze and many, many more step into the arena for all-out, high-speed warfare. The stakes have never been higher as the most vicious Spirits of Vengeance ever do battle for they’re very souls! Buckle up for a wild ride this June for GHOST RACERS #1!

I'll admit, this looks good. Ghost Riders mixed with Death Race 2000.

Marvel obviously has nothing else to do with Ghost Rider. That gimmick of changing up the character and giving him a car was a bold move but it looks like that failed.

This doesn't appear to make any sense. How I long for the old days when Johnny Blaze just sold his soul to Satan.

Garth Ennis run in Ghost Rider was pretty awesome. So was his run in Punisher MAX.

Ghost Rider is cool, but having too many of the same character really ruins the special nature of the individual. Marvel has suffered from this lately, multiple hulks, Spider-Mans, Thors, Iron-Mans etc etc. It's getting to the point where they just introduce a variant of the same guy.

Want a new Spider-Man? Well here is a black one and two girl ones! Ghost Rider is suffering from this same affliction, at least it's not 'Ghost Island' or 'Ghostverse'. This is about on the same level though. They need to keep the format along the lines of Hero 'A' stops bad guy 'B'. Heroes used to save people, just being super or powered isn't enough. Conflict through duplication isn't enough; there needs to be a reason for it that retains individuality and doesn't over saturate the environment with copy cat characters.

@girlrage
It's battlworld and colliding universes, that's the whole point. But yes there are like 5 incarnations of Ghost Rider in the 616 alone. And all I need is Johnny Blaze.

loving this art. Ghost Rider is an all too often forgotten character in Marvel comics. I could not tell you the last time I have seen anything about him pop up on this website. Did the rights to Ghost Rider revert back to Marvel studios? and if so why the [frick] are they not putting him into the MCU yet?

To say Marvel is the only company that duplicate their characters is a lie. DC does the same crap, Multiple Batmen, different variations of Superman and Wonder Woman. They have two Lobos and a bunch of Earth Green lanterns. Don't forget all the Flash characters. This is a problem among the big two but I don't blame the creators, it's on the editor's and the presidents of the company. The problem is the idiots that buy the books don't like to take chances on new characters or fresh ideas. So blame yourselves for wanting the same rehashed crap over and over again.
