SUPERMAN Confirmed To Make An Appearance In Upcoming SUPERGIRL TV Series

Henry Cavill won't be turning up in Supergirl, but the CBS series will feature a visit from the Man of Steel! A casting call has now gone out for Superman, but his role in the show is small.

A casting call has gone out for Superman, but before you go thinking that it will result in anything like the scene above in the Supergirl TV series, it's just for a body double to work a few days in March. Apparently those applying must be, "5’11 or taller and be Square Jawed and have a ripped physique". Confirmation comes from the fact that it mentions that the successful applicant with be a body double for an "iconic DC Comics superhero" and that they should use "SUPERMAN" in the subject line. That means the Man of Steel will more than likely just be seen from the neck down or from a distance as they obviously don't want to interfere with what's going on in the DC Cinematic Universe. We'll have to wait and see though. I'm sure Tom Welling doesn't have much going on...

The lengths at trying to avoid him wouldn't last forever or work before I stop[ped] watching at episode 10 with 5000 references established. Good.

DC seems to be going with alternate dimensions ala earth 1 for movies and earth 2 for tv. Imagine an Infinite Crysis storyline combining both the TV and movie universe.

Oh well, a fan can dream

DCTV lacking the necessary ambition to actually use the characters available to them. Must be a Tuesday.

For all the talk of how great it is for WB/DC to have all of their characters under one roof, what difference does it make when they're too chickenshit to use any of their more obscure characters in the movies, and too chickenshit to use any of their big characters on TV?

Wilding, please. Learn to start using "from" when contrasting. Things aren't different "to" each other, they are different "from" each other. Have mercy.
