If you liked the scores of X-Men 2 and X-Men: Days of Future Past, then you'll love X-Men: Apocalypse next year as it has been confirmed by Film Music Reporter that John Ottman has officially signed up to return for the movie. Some fans preferred Henry Jackman's take on the mutant characters in X-Men: First Class, but Ottman's work in last year's "inbetweenquel" was still great. For those of you needing a reminder, this one will star Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Evan Peters, Rose Byrne, and franchise newcomers Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Alexandra Shipp, and Ben Hardy. Bryan Singer will direct and Simon Kinberg is writing. X-Men: Apocalypse is set to be released on May 27th, 2016.

I love his X-men theme song. He should have used it a little more in DOFP, not just for credits.

@Jollem: nope, because you're trolling hard. You write the same comment, excluding Marvel Studios movies (wow) and trying to starts flame war.

Yes, you're a troll. One of the worst.

So because he didnt mention any Marvel studios movie he's excited for, that counts as trolling? Lol, what? He didnt even mention or say anything negative he simply exluded it. Whats starting the flame war, if anything, is you because you consider that trolling for not including Marvel studios movies. Lol, so stupid

I like the X-men movies, but none of them had a memorable villain, Apocalypse apparently will change that, this will be one of the best CBM ever.

you know what I mean. If you post comments against Marvel Studios or apparently tickle the Marvelites, obviously, you're trolling.

By the way, i don't give a [frick] if he doesn't like Civil War or Dr. Strange or Guardians of the Galaxy... but every post-every comment he made, sounds like trolling.

@NoMore

Well the comment on this thread is far from trolling. He never mentioned Marcel studios at all. He just named the other superhero movies so I dont see the problem.

I think Ottman's score's are boring. I'd rather have Jackman back, but whatever.

I didn't know Rose Byrne would be returning, she was good in the first one. John Ottman is gonna be good, like always, and it's awesome to see him back.

@DrDoom

so your ideal X-Men movie has all the major characters packed into one shot, all of them posing epically while moving in the same direction, and some of them reaching impossible jumping heights to stay in the frame? well I'm fine with the good acting and good writing, but to each their own. although I do think Bryan Singer would run out of film after doing 1,000,000 takes of twenty fully costumed actors jumping through the desert, he'd need a very long selfie-stick to get them all in-frame doncha think?
