Gal Gadot Responds To Claims Her Boobs Are Too Small For Her To Play WONDER WOMAN

Some fans have been highly critical of Gal Gadot's (Fast Five) slender frame and lack of huge - and unrealistic - comic book boobs, but the actress is taking all of that in stride, and talks here about reading those comments and how it feels to play the Amazonian Princess on the big screen...

Because the majority of comic book fans seemingly expect the actresses who play them to have the unrealistic proportions they're drawn with, Gal Gadot has come under fire for being cast as Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. In a recent interview with Robot Underdog, the actress was asked how it felt to see people complaining about her body not matching the iconic DC Comics character's busty look, and replied: "Don’t be shy. They said that I was too skinny and my boobs were too small. [Laughs] I’m really lucky nothing in my life was instantaneous. When I was younger I would take criticism really hard. But now it mostly amused me. The true Amazons had one boob so it won’t bother them in their archery. So it’s not going to be like real Amazons. We always try to make everyone happy but we can’t." As you can tell, the actress isn't letting the naysayers get to her, and wasn't in the least bit bothered or embarrassed to see people widely discussing her cup size online. "After they asked me here, In Israel, if I have eating disorders and why am I so skinny, they said my head was too big and my body was like a broomstick I can take anything," she adds. "It’s just empty talk. I understand that part of what I’m doing means being exposed. And part of being exposed is being under fire."

After talking in detail about waiting six weeks to find out whether or not she had been cast as Wonder Woman, Gadot made it clear just how excited she is to be playing the character and is clearly a fan of taking on such a strong female role. "Playing Wonder Women is a once in a lifetime opportunity. I can’t describe to you how much I wanted to play this character without even knowing I wanted to play her. I met a lot of people from the industry in LA for meetings. They always asked me ‘what’s your dream role?’, and I never could define it. I always answered that I wanted to play a women that is strong and will be a source for women empowerment. I don’t want to play a damsel in distress that needs to be saved. I don’t like it when women in the movies are shown as the victims. I always thought that if I could send out a massage I want to show the strong side of a woman and how she can handle tough situations. Yes, I get to play the strongest most empowering woman ever – Wonder Woman. I’m so grateful and I thank god every day. I want to devour it and enjoy every bite." Has this sold you on the Furious 7 star playing the character in Batman v Superman

But honestly, I hope she kills it in this role. From Shailene Woodley to Gal Gadot to even Krysten Ritter of all people, nobody deserves the backlash of criticism based on nothing but the size of their boobs and the attractiveness of their faces.

She speaks the truth, but people will still cry. One thing though, to help push forward with showing women in more empowered roles vs victim roles, we have to start moving away from always showing men in victimizer roles.

I have no problems with her boobs or her body.

Most important thing to me is acting ability.

Which I don't think she all that great in.

@damntree

And thats why she still won the tole in the end. Because she wasnt good enough -sarcasm-. Looking at her future projects and who's she's working with, its impressive. And she was almost cast in Ben Hir as the female lead but couldnt bc of schedule conflicts. Wait until the movie. Ultimately, she was cast for a reason.
