Arnold Schwarzenegger Makes His Feelings About TERMINATOR SALVATION Clear: "It Sucked"

Good Morning America recently caught up with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney, and Jason Clarke to talk Terminator Genisys, and the original star of the franchise doesn't hold back when it comes to the fourth instalment which starred The Dark Knight's Christian Bale. Check it out...

The first two Terminator movies were great, but most fans agree that the third and fourth were a major disappointment. Arnold Schwarzenegger didn't appear in Terminator Salvation, but a CGI double did with the then Governor of California's permission. However, he wasn't a fan of the movie, as he reveals in that video below that while each of the ones he did appear in "had their own personalities and interesting storylines" he thanks God he wasn't part of the fourth because "It sucked". Be sure to watch the video for more from the Terminator Genisys cast. Thoughts?

Well, at least it tried to expand the Terminator universe and tell a slightly different story than T3 ever attempted to do.

"Derp, I'll just [frick]ing re-hash all the things from the first two movies, and hope it'll turn out alright."

And that's exactly what this [frick]ing movie is doing, no sliver of originality whatsoever. And apparently, we're getting another 2 movies of the same shit?!? The franchise should've stopped with T2, which was probably the greatest action movie of all time that was nothing short of emotional and intense.

If I was talking about a CBM, I'd be dead before I could log off my computer.

It's funny, because Rise of the Machines sucked more than Salvation...

It'll probably pull a dopf, and while that was a great movie, genisys will just undo the other movies and make another plot thread

@MarkyMarkRises Woah, there!
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles's earned its existence. Wish it was canon.
If there's any franchise that should have stopped with the first sequel, look no further than Robocop.

Salvation was good. I dont get of its hate. It had a helluva cast, it showed us more about the Terminator universe than any of the movies except for maybe the 1st, it was made as the first of a trilogy but held its own as a complete story.

It was really good. Especially when you compare it to that piece of shit T3. Compare it to mostly any other movie Arnold has been in lately and you have the same result.

Honestly, I didn't think Salvation was bad....

It wasn't great but it wasn't bad, it definitely didn't suck compared to the other movies in the franchise....

What about Terminator 3 Arnie?

This is Terminator, and you have the potential to tell stories from all around the world (kind of like the walking dead). If you have to make sequels, stop poking the dead horse that is time travel. Why not tell a story about an unrelated group of survivors somewhere in Europe, the Sahara, a mountain region in Asia, or even under the [frick]ing water?

God, I am just so mad that such a good concept has been bled out and gone through uninspired blood transfusions multiple times.

@MarkyMarkRises

I hear you, and I wonder how many more times we'll have to hear Arnold say "I'll be back"....

At this point, I'd rather watch something original too

And, your pitch about survivors stranded somewhere kind of reminds me of the Predator reboot with Adrien Brody, Hollywood really needs some original ideas, that aren't YA adaptations....

I thought Fast 5,6 & 7 are a lot of fun and are a MASSIVE improvement over the first four.

Did the script for Genisys leak?

i just hope that with Terminator: Genisys the whole "time travel fixing bad sequels" thing will stop. DOFP end scene with team reunited for the first time since X3 was great, but the problem is the whole time continuum was changed and "The Wolverine" never actually happened. Or even if the movie happened it's a different universe now so i can't see how they gonna make a sequel. DOFP stated than Jean is alive, The Wolverine stated that she is dead. WTF ????

T3 didn't win any awards either Arnold. He's just butthurt because they didn't need him for Terminator: Salvation.

I agree, but companies judge movies solely on their box office totals...

If the movie is a sucess, more sequels.

Guess what DOFP screenwriters - you just made the best Wolverine solo entry (imho) vanished.

@jerryblake

Haha, I can't even try to comprehend the X-Men movie time-line, it's so [frick]ed after DOFP....

I don't even know if Wolverine went through Weapon X now and if he did, that would mean Mystique (Stryker) tortured the [frick] out of him....
