Joss Whedon Dismisses Marvel Vs. DC Talk; Reveals Which JUSTICE LEAGUE Member He'd Direct
Avengers: Age of Ultron director Joss Whedon talks here about being confused by fans arguing over Marvel and DC being in competition in regards to their movies, and also reveals which iconic DC Comics character he would most like to direct. And no, it's not Wonder Woman...
Rather than being grateful about the sheer amount of comic book movies on the way, a lot of fanboys seem unable to stop bickering about which is better; Marvel or DC Comics adaptations. This is not something Avengers: Age of Ultron understands. "I get very confused when people say we’re in competition," he tells MTV News. "Competition for what? Their movies are so different. The way they approach them — the Marvel aesthetic and the DC aesthetic — couldn’t be more opposite. I love that. I love going to their movies. I want to see how they build their team. I want to see Affleck play Batman. Now I just get to sit back and be a fan of both." As for which character from the Distinguished Competition he most wants to take a crack at (he is a free agent after all), Whedon added: "Nobody doesn’t want Batman. Everybody wants to play with Batman. Come on!" Would you like to see Whedon's take on the Caped Crusader? Sound off below.
