UPDATE: First Look At Rila Fukushima Fully Suited Up As 'Katana' In Next Week's ARROW

Much to all of our surprise, the extended promo for next week's episode of Arrow features a first look at Rila Fukushima (The Wolverine) fully suited up as Katana. The costume looks like it came straight outta the comics...

UPDATE:

Well, I think it's fair to say that none of us saw this coming! Team Arrow are about to go to war with the League of Assassins, and joining them is a fully suited and booted Katana. The costume looks great, and is no doubt very faithful to the comic book version (try to ignore the fact that the actors who play both her and Maseo are clearly stunt doubles in the final two images though). What do you think the chances are of Katana joining the Arrow/The Flash spinoff? Regardless, with this now out there, expect The CW to drop an official image sometime in the next week. Hopefully sooner!

"This Is Your Sword" - Oliver/Al Sah-him (Stephen Amell) finishes his training and is left with two final tasks to become the next Ra’s al Ghul. Ra’s (guest star Matt Nable) threatens Nyssa (guest star Katrina Law) and delivers some shocking news. Meanwhile, Malcolm (John Barrowman) makes a surprising offer to Team Arrow and Thea (Willa Holland) goes to see Roy (Colton Haynes). Wendey Stanzler directed the episode with story by Erik Oleson and teleplay by Ben Sokolowski & Brian Ford Sullivan.

Love the costume or Katana , and the build to her on the show. Thea Dearden Queen should become Speedy... But only time will tell.

Though I really think say may be Cheshire because they were molding her whole face and head..........

Looks cool! She was also in the most recent episode of Game of Thrones as a red priestess. She's a good actress.

That's the exact problem with having too many actors.
In season 1, Oliver was the focus of the fight scenes. Stephen Amell quite famously does all of his own stunts (except the bike scenes, he admitted he's not very good with a motorbike which is why he conveniently has his face covered during those scenes), so we got to see some great camerawork of him doing the stunts.
Ever since Roy, Black Canary (Laurel), Malcolm and all of these guys started having action pieces, they've had to resort to using stunt doubles, and unfortunately, it stands out because the camera-work is so jarring.

Also, i'm quite impressed with how comic-accurate Katana's costume is. It's clearly a good thing they're not shying away from it, but i disagree with Nomis because i think that sometimes a costume shouldn't be translated onto live action. Like, Wolverine's look is done quite faithfully in the "Super Power Beatdown" videos by Bat-in-the-sun Productions, but it just doesn't look nice.

@Nomis i totally agree! i always hear the argument that "some costumes only work on paper and cannot translate to real life well" and the example was used on wolverines alot of the times, bat in the sun proves the nay sayers HUGE. its actually perfect imo
but hollywood will always be hollywood grit n all. btw i always liked Caps wings n chainmail, wonder when we will ever see that on the big screen (if ever, but least the wings!)

As ridiculous as the costume looks, you gotta give it to them for going for it.

I really truly hate this show. They might've put too much effort in making the Flash work because it makes Arrow look like Batman wannabe trash. They can and should do better.

Does the costume really matter when the characters are crap?
