Chris Pratt Discusses His Marvel Contract; Teases More For 'Star-Lord' Than Just GOTG
Confirming that he's contracted for at least two more instalments of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, Jurassic World star Chris Pratt reveals that he's more than likely going to appear elsewhere, possibly confirming Star-Lord for Avengers: Infinity War...
Jurassic World's Chris Pratt may have denied rumours that he's set to star in either Ghostbusters or the Indiana Jones reboot, but the actor did reveal in an interview with GQ that he's contracted to star in both Guardians of the Galaxy and non-Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel movies. "I’m tied to doing three more, or five more, Guardians of the Galaxy or whatever it is, you know, two more Guardians plus another couple," Pratt confirmed, with the writer of the article interpreting those comments as meaning that he's "committed to at least two sequels, as well as spin-off projects where his character will appear with other Marvel characters." So, a solo Star-Lord movie?
It's sounds like the standard Marvel contract basically, but you have to imagine that Star-Lord and his fellow teammates will all appear in Avengers: Infinity War, while it's also possible that Peter Quill could show up in movies like Captain Marvel and The Inhumans. As for the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel, Pratt had this to say about his first meeting with director James Gunn: "I got teary-eyed. He’s so [frick]ing smart and peculiar. [Gunn] just knows me too well to tell me too much."
