THE FLASH: Despite The Shocking Events Of The Finale, [SPOILER] Will Return In Season Two
Tonight's amazing finale of The Flash featured a number of shocking moments and departures, but executive producer Andrew Kreisberg talks here about the fact that a certain someone will still be a regular in season two and that they're planning on introducing more Speedsters...
Time travel is a confusing thing, but tonight's season finale of The Flash saw Eddie Thawne commit suicide in order to wipe Eobard/Reverse-Flash out of existence. Before disappearing, the villain returned to being Eobard, so does this now mean that the real Harrison Wells is alive and well? As I said, time travel isn't easy to get your head around, but executive producer Andrew Kreisberg confirmed in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that Tom Cavanagh will return in season two as a regular cast member. That's great news, regardless of whether he's Thawne or Wells!
However, after we got a glimpse of Jay Garrick's helmet, it sounds like plans are in place for him and others to enter this world. "We are going to introduce a few more speedsters next year and a bunch more villains," he reveals. "How they and those villains come about is part of the surprise of season two. We're really excited. [Executive producer] Greg [Berlanti] and myself and [executive producer] Geoff Johns and the writers, the cast, the crew, the directors — we are so proud of this season of television. It really is a high mark for all of us and we feel a great deal of pressure and anxiety to live up to it, because it's been so well received. As proud as excited as we are about everything we've done this year, we really are just as proud and excited for all the things we are planning coming up and hopefully people will continue to take this ride with us."
