GOTHAM Casts Season Two Villain 'Tabitha Galavan'/'Tigress'

Tigress is coming to Gotham, and she will be played by Gracepoint star Jessica Lucas. You might also recognise the actress from shows like Melrose Place, 90210, and Friends With Benefits. In the series, Lucas will play Tabitha Galavan, the lead enforcer for her brother Theo, a billionaire industrialist hell-bent on taking over Gotham. Described as sexy and violent — and toting a bullwhip! — she’s the opposite of her cold and calculating brother, deriving a sensual pleasure from the mayhem she’s tasked with making. Forgetting the fact that she'll probably be in her 40s by the time Bruce Wayne becomes Batman in this timeline, this is  solid bit of casting. What do you think?

Omg who gives a shit, they not even gonna touch batman year zero or year one. Its just a generic over-dramatic TV boyscout cop fighting batmans villains and most of the time, the villains are the origins of who they become. At least Smallville centered on Clark becoming Superman, this show is just Bruce Wayne playing Nancy Drew

Another Bat-villain that is appearing 20 years too soon. Man this show is pointless, why don't they time hop ahead? Otherwise, the property is wasted.

You have the movies for Batman, this show said from the get go it isn't about Batman.

Considering Bruce would be Batman in what? 10 years? These characters wouldn't be old at all. You people act like they'd be in [frick]ing walkers.

Implying this show isn't about Batman is the same thinking that people had telling disappointed viewers that Agents of SHIELD isn't Marvel. That doesn't help anything but understand why you don't seem bothered.

Bullwhip? Sounds like Tigress will play a roll in Catwoman's origin.

And while people are complaining about her being on the show "too soon," you should probably know that this is an original character created specifically for the show. While there are villains in the comics that call themselves "Tigress," Tabitha Galavan and Theo Galavan don't exist.

Then why use the Tigress name at all? They should at least make her Paula Brooks, and then have her brother be the original creation.

Well, I'm not a writer of the show, so I can't give you a solid answer. If I had to guess, they probably did it for brand recognition (sort of like how there is a villain called Balloonman in the comics that the show's character had nothing to do with), or she could be a predecessor to Paula Brooks.

I was just pointing out that Tabitha Galavan is an original character because everyone in these comments are complaining that they're using Tigress "too soon" when this isn't even the Tigress from the comics.

When you think that all this villains will have 40 or 50 years old when Batman first see them and even worst that he knows from 40 years back all his main villains, then you put off your tv and stop seeing this shit so easy so god.

They even cant pull off really well the villains they can use, if Jim Gordon is the main character, but they know nobody wants to see a show about him, them why the hell make it in the first place?

Or even worst why have to name Bruce Wayne and use the main name to so many characters that even dont deserve to use the trademark of DC and Batman?

That is why i stop seeing this shit, they have the mafia dont use well the cosa nostra, they dont use Rupert Thorne, Black Mask, Arkham Asylum full Arc they can touch and i think even the Owls if they want, some here or there dark serial killer.

But not, they decide to use the riddler, to use poison ivy, scarecrow, Harvey Dent and even the Jocker and the worst is they only use them like shock element not even a real story element.

The only point I was trying to make is that this isn't the same Tigress from the comics. This Tigress (Tabitha Galavan) is an original character created for the series. You say she'll be 40 or 50 years old when she will fight Batman, but she might not EVER fight Batman. Because she's an original character, there is a strong chance she won't be around when Bruce Wayne finally puts on the cape and cowl.
