'Green Lantern' Or 'Steve Trevor'; Which DC Cinematic Universe Role Will Chris Pine Choose?

We recently heard that reports of Chris Pine being offered the role of Steve Trevor in Wonder Woman may have been a cover for the fact that he's set to play Hal Jordan/Green Lantern. Well, a new story now claims he's been offered both, and that he's leaning more towards this character...

The trades recently reported that Chris Pine is in talks to join the cast of Wonder Woman as Steve Trevor. Since then however, a new report surfaced claiming that he's actually up for the role of Green Lantern, with Warner Bros. plotting to introduce him during their Hall H panel this weekend.

Well, Birth.Movies.Death have now weighed in on the news, and reveal that Pine is indeed up for the role of Hal Jordan. He has however also been offered the chance to play Steve Trevor, but still hasn't signed on officially to anything just yet, despite the studio wanting to introduce him at Comic-Con. Has the actor been offered a choice of who to play or are two different movies set in the DC Cinematic Universe fighting for his attention? Surely they're more organised than that?

Well, the site adds that, "Pine is definitely leaning towards Green Lantern," so it will be interesting to see how this develops at Comic-Con. We all expected Doctor Strange to be announced last year and it didn't happen, so it might be best to temper expectations for now. Sound off below!

He haphazardly said as he attempted to hide chuckles beneath his breath.

Damn it Chris, you were supposed to complete the 4-Chris Quadrant.

Forever disappointed!

Chris as Hal makes sense, just make sure you hire a director who's fine with CGI-heavy scenes and isn't a practical effects stickler *cough Martin Campbell cough* (i.e. Goldeneye, Casino Royale, Mask of Zorro)

It'd be funny if Pine was thinking about taking Green Lantern, then did some research on Hal Jordan and found this website where we all bash him to bust Gusto's balls. As a result, he thinks everyone hates Hal Jordan and turns down the role.

That's my wet dream.

As much as I like Chris Pine & enjoy him in most roles / movies, I just don't think I can see or buy him as Hal Jordan, but who knows, guess I'd actually have to see him in the role first, but upon hearing it, I'm not feeling it.

Ha, if he has been offered both roles I think it's a no brainer which he'd choose!
