Possible Description For Marvel's Very Different Take On SPIDER-MAN's New Suit Surfaces

Take this with a pinch of salt, but a possible description of the suit which will be worn by Tom Holland in Captain America: Civil War next year has surfaced, and it's fair to say it won't be what you expected. We even have a piece of fan-art which gives us an idea of how it'll look...

Latino-Review has a piece up about the new Spider-Man costume, and while they don't go into a lot of detail, it does sound pretty interesting. Apparently this version of the suit is going to be red and black, and they've used the piece of artwork below (which is from 2012 and was apparently "found by a source with access to the Spider-Man costume as a way of legally reporting on how it looked") to give us a better idea as to what we should expect when Spidey makes his MCU debut.

While they point out that this fan-art should only give us a very rough idea as to what we should expect, this is certainly in keeping with what Kevin Feige said about Peter Parker donning a homemade suit. As the site's source is only using this as a guide, there will no doubt be some major differences between this and the final product. Unlike the costumes in both Sam Raimi and Marc Webb's movies - both of which were very comic book faithful - this actually looks like something a teenager could make on a limited budget (bear in mind that cosplayers spend thousands).

It's fair to say that most of us probably expected Marvel to go for something a little closer to the source material, but as the "Sony Hack" emails indicated that Peter ends up in the Iron Spider suit by the time the credits roll, this is a look which probably won't be around for long. How would you feel about something like this being Spider-Man's look next year? As always, let us know below.

Looks similar to the Mangaverse suit. I'm not sure how I feel about this if it's true.

Then Tony looks at Peter and laughs before making him a real suit.

You know what?

That looks fine. Yeah, he should eventually adopt his classic look, but as a temporary suit, it's rather an interesting look.

If his first suit is something like this, I'd be very happy.

It's ok..If that's similar to his "first" look,as both Raimi & Webb's films had versions of his pre-costume look.
It better not be his FINAL costume look. That would be very bad.

So, if Spiderman is debuting in Civil War -- how long would Peter Parker have been in action as the webslinger that he would still have a homemade suit like this? And, by the credits he gets the Iron Spider suit? Meaning, is he going to then go through yet another costume change in his own Marvel movie after that?
They just can't leave well enough alone, can they? All of this is to sell MORE toys, no other reason. Pathetic merchandising.

I think this is awesome, I'm totally down for something like this to be the starting point for the suit and then watch it evolve

I'm sure we'll get a real suit in the first stand alone movie

I really think Marvel should use the Ben Reilly Spider Man suit, it looks really cool and we haven't seen it in live action yet.

Pretty cool for a proto suit.....but I thought we was skipping the origin, so shouldn't he already have the classic outfit already?

So will he eventually get the iconic costume? Does this mean no iron spider because it makes no sense for ironspider to come first

@HanFckingSolo

Seriously, and he can act, he was great in "The Impossible" and I can't wait to see Cop Car, Watts is awesome, just from the interviews and what I've seen, he's a great choice. The only thing that has me a little worried is the writers....

@KurtWagner1225

Yeah, for some reason I thought he would be active for at least a year. Either way, I can deal with this suit for a whole movie, since I already seen it done good twice already.
