DC's LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Adds MR. ROBOT's Stephanie Corneliussen In Villainous Role

Shooting is now underway on DC's Legends of Tomorrow, but the cast continues to grow. The latest addition is Mr. Robot breakout star Stephanie Corneliussen, and she's joined the spinoff series as a villain from the comics. Who is she playing? Find out after the jump...

TV Line reports that DC's Legends of Tomorrow has added Stephanie Corneliussen to The CW series as DC Comics villainess Valentina Vostok. The actress is going to appear in multiple episodes, and is described by the network as a gifted and beautiful Soviet physicist who will stop at nothing to defend her precious "Motherland." When the Legends encounter her at the height of the Cold War, they suspect her of working with Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) on a secret weapon. Ray/The Atom (Brandon Routh) and Leonard/Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) must vie for Valentina’s affection in an attempt to thaw her cold heart, and find out where her allegiance truly lies before she completes her project and potentially turns the tide of the Cold War. Sounds pretty cool, right?

In the comics, Vostok was better known as Negative Woman. The negative energy gave her several powers including the ability to preject a "soul-self" that could fly, become intangible, and cause explosions. However, using this ability left her physical body vulnerable. Eventually she lost her powers, and began working for the U.S. Government in organizations such as Agency and Checkmate. Whether or not she'll have powers in DC's Legends of Tomorrow remains to be seen, but this is the first time period confirmed for the Arrow/The Flash spinoff, and it's clear that the series is going to see the team battling Vandal Savage throughout the entire course of history.

@blackandyellow - "McGee likes that Mr. Robot show so it probably sucks."

I can't recommend this show enough. Such a smart and well done show. What makes me like it even more is the creator, original intended to make it a movie, so he knows how the series will eventually end.

I showed my buddy the first 10 minutes of the pilot and he watched the entire series that night and the next day.

It's very engaging and entertaining, the music is pretty fantastic too. Sets the mood/tone of the scene/series.

They should find a way to bring Huntress into this show. I know people want her back on Arrow, but I feel like she'd fit more on here.

If kenny and batz like it too then I assume a good portion of the show takes place in a Turkish bath house.

That music for Mr. Robot has a straight up 80s feel to it.

@McGee - "That music has a straight up 80s feel to it."

I love it! Then they'll change things up with some current music:

Still my favorite is this SPOILER-ish song at the end of episode 9.
It was their way of saying, "Yeah... we know, you know!"

A lot of Marvel4Lyfe guys will shoot their TVs when they watch a certain segment of the bug free life montage.

You know...we like to joke around on here and rip on each other, but we always obey a certain unspoken rule and refrain from saying actual hurtful things. You crossed a line Blackstar. You said something that can never be taken back.

See? Gusto's comment was completely serious, but he'd be the first one to call me a cab to take me to the hospital and get my dick reattached.

...I also want a Doom Patrol movie.

And remember when Gideon said he felt like he was rearranging the chairs on the Titanic?? Guess what song was playing at the fancy party during the credits??

I'll let this slide BlackStar, but in the future, be careful with making serious accusations like so-and-so likes the Pittsburgh Steelers.

I like to think the actual Kenny Powers character just talked to me about Mr. Robot.
