Hugh Jackman Reveals His Favourite Scene As WOLVERINE And It's Not The One You're Expecting

With Hugh Jackman's final outing as Wolverine set for 2017, we're going to have to enjoy seeing the clawed mutant while we still can. Rumour has it that the actor may show up in both Deadpool and X-Men: Apocalypse, so there are any number of great moments featuring the character still on the way. However, Jackman's favourite to date is his brief R-Rated cameo appearance in X-Men: First Class! You can hear more about that in the video above, but here's what he had to say about what the next Wolverine needs to do to prepare for the role. "Start training six months out," he laughed. "I got the part literally as they were filming. Bryan Singer said, 'How long do you need to get into shape?' 'Three weeks?' If you look at the film carefully there's quite a transformation." What's your favourite Wolverine moment? Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the usual place.

It was a great cameo. I remember Cameo-gate when it was spoiled on here.

His First Class cameo is golden.

Don't care what anyone says, going to miss the guy in the role.

Loved the cameo! Would've been even greater if it hadn't been spoiled.

Favorite Wolverine scene?
Berserker Hallway Wolverine in X2 when the Mansion is being invaded.

Quick look back, X1 is a solid film but hasn't held up very well. X2 is one of my favorite CBM's. Better left unsaid about X3. Same with Origins, but Jackman still racks up great performances. Need to give Wolverine a rewatch. I really, really enjoyed it. Just a really, really disappointing third act.. And I [frick]in' love DOFP.

He's brought his all every time.

His workout is crazy. Tried it n didn't last long, lol. Specially since he starts at 4am.

My favorite wolverine scene??
His fight with marikos dad. It nearly looked page for page with the comic story. Either that or him going gangster in x2. It was during a time where the internet didn't spoil things, so you didn't see it coming. Def will be the greatest wolverine casting, and in my eyes, one of the greatest CBM castings ever. Its nearly impossible to find someone that can play him n look like him. OK writing is the only thing that held him down.

My favorite Wolverine's moment is when he put his claws deep in Singer's throat and went back to Feige with the X-men rights

If I didnt work a 9-5 and got paid a few million to stand around and look pretty, I could get jacked faster than that.

My favorite Wolverine moment/scene would have to be in X2 when he confronted Stryker as he begged for his life, and chained him to the plane. Idk why but I always love that scene and dialogue. Pretty much all of X2 is golden so there's a lot to chose from.

I liked him in X2 the most. That mansion scene, then later when he fights Lady Deathstrike. Great moments. The train scene from The Wolverine was nice also.

Honest question which scene is "the one [we're] expecting?"
Like is there one awesome wolverine scene that should come to mind?

@DrDoom must hate good actors playing good characters in good movies.
TheRationalNerd

The thing about Wolverine is that most of his brutal fight scenes (that would be beautiful to be seen on screen) would have to be severely altered to avoid so much blood and gore. It's reasons like that why I believe that the next adaption of Wolverine should be multiple origin tales told over several Netflix films/series. The films had a chance to do entirely more within his fight scenes but for unknown reasons they held back due to their PG-13 ratings. The Wolverine Unleashed edition is the closest I can think of to what full limits could be reached with the character.

@Ryguy88

What's the point of your statement ? We're talking about Hugh Jackman's Wolverine right now you know ?
TheRationalNerd
TheRationalNerd - 10/15/2015, 2:43 PM
I say movie wise, give him larger living/non living opponents to go ballistic on and in a possible tv series give him more grounded based opponents to battle it out with.
Ryguy88
Ryguy88 - 10/15/2015, 2:48 PM
@HappyHater

Lol, the article also talks about how Jackman only had 3 weeks to train for the first movie and its clear that ever since he has been given much more time to get into top shape.

sKeemAn - 10/15/2015, 2:49 PM
If we could only get a rated R wolverine, where we could see limbs flying and some blood
Ryguy88
Ryguy88 - 10/15/2015, 2:51 PM
@WakandasSoul

It amazes you that the most popular X-man in the comics became the most popular X-man in the films and Fox rode that so they could have a star to centre the franchise around?

Also, First Class didn't feature much Wolverine and it looks like Deadpool and Apocalypse won't either so cheer up!
