BARRY COMES UP WITH A PLAN TO DEFEAT ZOOM — After recent events, Barry (Grant Gustin) decides it’s time to confront Zoom and comes up with a dangerous plan. Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) sides with Jay (guest star Teddy Sears) and deems it too dangerous for Barry to engage with the speed demon. However, Iris (Candice Patton) shows her support and brings forth a surprising ally. We see what Earth-2 Harrison Wells’ (Tom Cavanagh) life was like before coming through the breech. JJ Makaro directed the episode written by Gabrielle Stanton & Brooke Eikmeier.


This sounds like a pretty awesome episode of The Flash, but does the mention of Harrison Wells' past point to him being connected to Zoom in some way? We'll have to wait and see, but Barry taking on this "speed demon" should have major ramifications for the series moving forward...

Is Iris's ally Wally, probably not because he won't have his speed yet. Maybe Earth-2 Wells contacts Iris in the tag scenes of the next couple episodes. I also really hope Jay gets his speed back before the season finale.

Anyone else think those narrated intros are f**cking cornball? I mean, I get it. The shows are for minors...but even 15 year olds know what these shows are about. They don't need to be told that the Flash is really, really fast. They don't need to hear Amell's goofy voice talking about saving his city (ugh...God that tag line is so lame!).

I'm not a fan of Season 2. It feels like to much of a retread of season 1 but without as much going on.
Season 1: Flash, along with Cisco, Cathlin, and Joe must battle metahumans while trying to find and stop the man in yellow while Barry is mentored by a man who used to be a speedster.
Season 2: Flash, along with Cisco, Cathlin, and Joe must battle alternite reality metahumans while trying to find the man in blue, while Barry is mentored by a speedster who lost his powers.

@shadowspider9: Exactly, but if you look back at s1, there wasn't much going on either.

Still its much better than Arrow is,its just improved short way from awful to meh, while Flash has been good and still good.

I think it's pretty stupid to take the speed away from Garrick. It's like, yeah I'll stay and explain how to defeat the Earth 2 metahumans and blah blah blah. Dumb.

I wonder how they will explain the name Zoom. I mean, that's always been a silly name when u think about it. Making him some kind of speed demon is a cool angle. I just hope if they ever do blck racer, he'll be different enough from Zoom
