Henry Cavill Reveals The "Prologue" Scene Of BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE

Henry Cavill has revealed the scene which kicks off Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and it has a surprising link to Man of Steel! Ben Affleck meanwhile weighs in on the "tremendous amount of rage" that the Caped Crusader has for Metropolis' new superhero...

We've seen snippets of Bruce Wayne trying to escape the destruction of Metropolis in the trailers for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (and witnessing the Wayne Financial building falling), but Henry Cavill has now revealed that the sequence is going to make up an entire "prologue" sequence as Batman springs into action minus his cape and cowl during the events of Superman and General Zod's battle in Man of Steel.

"What happens there is one of Bruce’s buildings gets destroyed and he’s trying to save all the people inside the building and he can’t," the British actor explains. "So he is this angry person who fears what Superman may do. Why are they just going to trust this super-powered alien? What if he does decide to turn against us?"

Ben Affleck was quick to also weigh in on that point, offering further insight into why exactly the Dark Knight decides to target the Kryptonian superhero. "He’s found himself in a place of harboring a tremendous amount of rage for Superman. So it’s how he got there, and what that’s done to him, and what that’s done to people around him like Alfred, who are, I think, very scared and worried for him. It’s something that’s interesting and new."

What do you guys think about these latest details?

UPDATE: Total Film also reveals that Batman v Superman takes place 18 months after Man of Steel.

How was that surprising? The trailer basically gave this away.

Not a fan of Batman fearing Superman without doing his research. Sounds like this Batman is a reactionary hero rather than a super detective.

Hope they show the genius side of Batman somehow. I just want his intellect to be on full display. I hope Luthor has some crazy genius plan that Batman knew about the whole time and was prepared for and outsmarts everyone.

@Obredaan

Well most people who worked for Wayne Enterprises, people he considered colleagues and friends are dead, so is it that far of a stretch to have deep seeded hate for the man who is "responsible"

I won't lie, that sounds pretty [frick]ing perfect and awesome. I don't see how one could have an issue with that.

The thing about Batman is he's paranoid so him reacting this way to Superman makes sense.

@obredan

Batman has always feared what meta humans or aliens could do, that is why he has created my fail safes if Superman or WW were to turn bad or be mind controlled.

Also keep in mind Batman is human with emotions......and at this point no one really knows about Superman. Well actually all they can associate with Superman is death and destruction that resulted from Zod!

Enjoy overhyping Zack Snyder's Bad Batman Fanfic guest staring some guy with a cape. But when this movie comes out, the Internet will rip it a new one for hours on end.

If they didnt start with this scene it would foolish. MOS will be 4 years in the past, they need to remind the GA what happened and the affect it had on Bruce.

It seems like Snyder took the complaints about how much damage (and obvious destruction) was created in the MoS finale, and is opening the sequel with explaining how that really affected people, especially Wayne/Batman. Looking forward to it! Those shots stunned me in the trailer, should be an exciting way to open the film.

Ugh, you like that lame Star Wars bullshit too? Spectre and 13 Hours are the only movies that interest me in the next few months.
