Talking to Total Film Magazine recently, Jesse Eisenberg spilled the beans on what exactly he's bringing to the role of Lex Luthor that we haven't seen before. First though, Zack Snyder mentioned that they considered all "the usual suspects that you’d imagine for Lex" (Bryan Cranston) before choosing The Social Network star and having Chris Terrio tweak the screenplay to better suit a younger version of the iconic villain. Of course, many fans believe that means we're basically going to end up with Lex Zuckerberg, but regardless of whether or not that's the case, the magazine at least confirms Luthor will indeed be going bald at some point in the movie.
Going back to Eisenberg though, and he had this to say about what he's bringing to the table as Batman v Superman's apparent big bad. "He is a lot of the things we know about the character. It's a very modern take on his otherwise historic and iconic character. He has a, I would say, recognisably modern psychology, whether it's being used to charm or destroy." He then went on to talk specifically about working with Ben Affleck, confirming that they share screentime in the movie (rumours have pointed to Bruce Wayne and Lex meeting at a party). However, he doesn't specificy whether these were between Lex and Bruce or Lex and Batman! "It's strange acting with people like Ben Affleck, having to condescend to someone like him. Off set, you're thinking of this person is reverential terms, and then on set I condescending him, really quite nasty..."
