Civil War is coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but a decade after Mark Millar and Steve McNiven's historic event series, a follow up will take place in the world of the comics from the creative team of Brian Michael Bendis and David Marquez. "Civil War was a seismic event that demanded the attention of existing fans and created new ones because it tapped into the most pressing question of its day," says Marvel Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso. "Civil War II will do the same." Bendis meanwhile adds: "The original Civil War is one of the most important Marvel comics ever, and we are all very excited to have come up with what we hope is a story worthy of the title. If you are scared of earth shattering Marvel events where no one is safe…be afraid, be very afraid." Are you interested in a Civil War which pits Iron Man against The Falcon?

Why would they need another Civil War if its just in fighting among them.

These makes no sense to even have created. It's like if DC made CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS 2.

The first Civil War was good as it was but they should have just made a new story plot not a cash grab plot because of the new movie that's coming out.

Just saying.

Falcon and Ironman never get along... Falcon gets his period more than Cap so I could see them going at it.

When you do stuff like this, it just cheapens the original. Marvel these days is feeling a lot like Hollywood, not an original thought left.

"So guys, lets re-do Blade, but this time...make him a girl!"
"Sounds awesome, it's edgy and neo-feminists might like it and give us money!"

Someone wake me when Marvel retcons at least half this crap. -_-

I'm cool with it because it's Bendis. I'm hoping this one is just as tied to reworld events and not just a cash grab like Secret Wars...what a [frick]ing disaster that was. Hoping also it has something to do with Characters people are actually reading.

It was never gonna be Mark Millar. But, of course, Bendis is the obvious replacement.
Bendis was always the Speilberg to Millar's Lucas.

GliderMan@ Bendis' Iron-Man is one of the best of the new bunch of Marvel books. I am fvcking loving it. And it's out almost every week (except for the week before last). It's awesome. FRIDAY's really growing on me. You have to read her in that Irish accent.
Angela: Queen of Hel', The Ultimates and Extraordinary X-Men are all pretty good, too.
But, really, The Visions is the one that surprised me the most. That one came right outta left field. It's delightfully fvcked up and really well written.

I guess all the other writers told Marvel to f.uck off.

So, Bendis.

@BreadPitt I'm confused as to what your referring to? Anthony Mackie as Captain Falcon? Not big enough? I don't know why Captain Falcon needs to be bigger? Mackie could muscle up a little more if that what your referring to. But yeah, over my head on that one.

I love these Marvel "events"- they are like tragic automobile accidents where someone is beheaded and you've stumbled apon it and can't look away.
Marvel Comics have become so incredibly embarrassing in their concepts and execution that it's truly tragic and impossible to look away. Now we have Civil War 2?? (-this can't be a total cash grab, can it??) Now we have Capt. America (-but he isn't the REAL Cap.is he??) and Iron Man (or is it Rhoady? I'm confused. Or maybe I just don't give a royal f--k...).
Let's see, is anyone over 6 buying this juvenile garbage?? (-hey, I heard Iron Man is gonna get TITS later in 2016, that will be exciting...).
Hey, Bendis and his comics crew were kicked out of the Marvel Studios Creative Team. Maybe Feige can divorce themselves from Marvel Comics totally.
Now THAT would be news!
Go for it, Feige!

@Levi don't joke like that lol! I wouldn't put it past Marvel to put Bendis on an Infinity Gaunlet 2 project.

Holy crap. Civil War was the first arc I collected. Ten years ago? Damn.
I don't wanna hear people complaining of a sequel. OF COURSE they'd do something involving Civil War with the movie coming out!

I'm all for the big Marvel events, I'm just sick of Cap not being Cap.
Please, Marvel. Kill Falcon-Cap and bring back Steve!

OMG they don't know what to do anymore... i would love a reboot like NEW 52 but but whith a slower pace, for me DC srewed up by going to far to fast. I writing and now i remenber marvell did the same mistake already with Ultimate which by the way was starting great (still my favorite take on spider-man).
