In the pages of Batman #47 today, Bruce Wayne started remembering that he was once Gotham City's Dark Knight (the events of "Endgame" left his memories completely wiped away), but before he could fully come to that realisation, the former Caped Crusader was interuppted by a man with a familiar smile. The Joker has also been healed, with his bleached skin, deformed face, and green hair now gone. Does he have his memories? That remains to be seen, but this is certainly an interesting new direction for the Clown Prince of Crime. What do you think about this big reveal?

I just read this with my morning coffee. Those last few pages were pure awesomeness. Snyder can do no wrong.

Remember when Scott Snyder was on here commenting the one day and nail confirmed it was him? That was pleasant.

I like this surprise.
But it's so hard to tell what's going on with the disjointed timelines.
Did Bruce lose his memory in the cave-in?
Did Bruce lose his memory from being a god?
Is amnesiac Bruce a clone made by Lex?
And how did Gordon get younger? Was it the axe full of healing Joker toxin that was chopped into his heart? or was it done with Bat-Metron's power somehow?
I like a good mystery, but I also like a tightly woven mystery, and this isn't really that.

Goddamnit Snyder! So much for "I'd never use Joker again" lol. Would prefer to see some other Batman villains in the spotlight since you did 2 Joker stories and Red Hood Gang in your run. Still another great issue. Superheavy is becoming long winded but I love Bloom. Zero Year is still the best IMO. Court of Owls, Death of the Family, and Endgame are great but Zero Year has the strongest ending and Snyder writes Riddler just as good if not better than Joker.

@blackandyellow

I remember that lol. It was when nail reported about Snyder & Liefeld's beef

Yeah Snyder really likes using Joker. But not that I'm complaining, his run has been amazing.

I have liked most stuff from Snyder Capullo. I like that Bruce got to live as not Batman. I can't wait for him to be Batman again though.

It's a boiling pot of awesome being stirred, after DC told the writers not to worry so much about continuity, just write good stories...

Even when he's been healed the Joker still looks unnatural. Shows you how scary and messed up his character is IMO.

@- Blackandyellow - I agree! Snyder is killing Batman! Dan Slott has been doing the same with Spider-Man. Love it!

But how? Did Thomas Elliott fix his face or something because the last time I saw Joker in Snyder's run he was falling for his life (with a freakung jigsaw face) with his wearabouts unknown.

Loving Snyder's run, not caught up yet (just finished Zero Year and I'm getting the Graveyard Shift and Endgame trades for Christmas) but Snyder and Capullo's Batman is the first comic series I've followed from the start. It's great. I just wish I had the willpower to not click these spoiler articles, that would've been an awesome reveal when I eventually got round to reading it for myself! But my curiosity always gets the better of me when it comes to comics.

I just read this. I like the ideas. I like the gumption. I like the creativity. I like the art. What I don't like is the sequential storytelling.
Capullo draws pretty panels, but they're so incongruous or choppy that it's hard to tell whats happening.
We don't see the molecular contractor collapse the missile tubes, even though the dialogue says it.
Then he Gordon says "Sweep the leg." But that's not what he's drawn doing.
And then what's that business about using a "Blocker" against Bloom's hand? How would an electronic device prevent him from clawing Jim's face off?
This is the horse-stable-in-arkham-situation all over again. Come on, Capullo! get it together! Draw more panels if you gotta!

H, is this Batman universe different to the Justice League one where Batman has the Mobius Chair and knows the identity of the Joker?

I am so tired of Snyder writing Batman. Every story is the same and every character talks the same.

JUST UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

I thought it was terrible and didn't know anyone personally who enjoyed it. But internet headlines made it sound revolutionary. I thought it was a little amateur and read like it was written by someone who hasn't read much Batman...
But the ideas themselves were great.
