'The Joker' Makes His Presence Felt In Possible Description For First SUICIDE SQUAD Trailer

The first theatrical trailer is reportedly set to be released early next year, and now a possible description has surfaced which sheds some light on what we should expect. There's going to be a lot of The Joker, not to mention an awesome choice of song to accompany the action...

The first trailer for Suicide Squad was obviously the one shown at Comic-Con earlier this year, but Warner Bros. never intended to release that online and were forced to when a good quality bootleg version ended up doing the rounds. That's why the official theatrical trailer is just around the corner, and a possible description has now surfaced which sheds some light on what we should expect from this new look at the movie. The description at the source is fairly muddled and not that well written, so here's an easier to follow rundown courtesy of We Got This Covered:

Opening to the inimitable Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen, Heroic Hollywood claims that Suicide Squad‘s second full-length trailer takes cues from the Comic-Con reel, showcasing more of Belle Reve Penitentiary and its deranged inmates, whether it’s Harley Quinn drinking tea in fuzzy pink slippers or Diablo doing push-ups in his cell.

From there, it jumps to a shot of Amanda Waller proposing the Task Force X protocol at dinner much like the scene glimpsed in the Comic-Con teaser, followed by a staged breakout by Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) that also involved Deadshot (Will Smith) and Diablo (Jay Hernandez). Cue a quick cut to Rick Flagg going through Deadshot’s file, with a dressed down Enchantress (Cara Delevingne) in tow, as they go through the leading members of Suicide Squad and their idiosyncratic abilities.

Flagg then pitches the deal of executing dangerous black ops missions to Task Force X, which is quickly followed by a hero shot of Deadshot, Katana, Diablo, Captain Boomerang, Rick Flagg, and Harley Quinn stalking the streets. Later in the description, there’s also mention of the skeleton group – along with the help of Killer Croc – battling the monsters that Enchantress has conjured, with Deadshot living up to his title and mowing down waves of enemies.

As Bohemian Rhapsody begins to reach its famous crescendo, there’s a bevy of fast cuts introducing the Joker, a battle on the streets, Enchantress on the hunt for a Macguffin, and Leto’s Clown Prince of Crime diving into some form of chemical tank to retrieve Harley. All of this culminates with Rick Flagg surveying the behaviour of the film’s ragtag group, to which Harley Quinn replies: ‘We’re bad guys. It’s what we do.”

If that's accurate, it sounds pretty awesome, and that's a very interesting choice of song to accompany the action. What really sticks out here though is the fact that The Joker seemingly rescues Harley Quinn from a vat of chemicals; could he actually be retrieving her after throwing her in? That would make sense, especially as the villain will likely use the ACE Chemicals concoction to do to her what it did to him years before. We'll just have to wait and see, and it's definitely best to take this with a pinch of salt for now. What do you guys think about this description?

Harley laughing behind bars, Flagg voiceover "And she's just crazy." Shot of Harley, from the same outside shot we saw early saying "What was that?" We see a shot of the military guys outside. Back to Harley "I should kill everyone and escape? Sorry... it's the voices." Cut back to Slipknot, then back to Harley "Hahaha I'm kidding. That's not what they really said."

@BradyD

Big fan of that song actually. It's precisely because there are so many things both in my life and in movies I associate with that song that I'd personally prefer something more obscure. That 'I started a Joke' cover from the Comic Con trailer was just about perfect for me.

But I'll wait til I've seen it, maybe it'll work well for me! :)

I hope this is true.

I'm loving the music choices so far too, "I started a Joke" and "Bohemian Rhapsody" work so well for The Joker, and for Suicide Squad in general

they should've used Michael Jackson's "Bad" for this trailer.

@3:00-@3:06

Would've been a great way to play of that scene by shifting the camera in each direction focusing on each individual character doing what they do best.

@KurtWagner1225

Hahahaha, I didn't even think anyone would read that. lol But yeah, I just pictured the Joker doing some Maniacal type of stuff in a scene like that, like everyone else is just seen "fighting" while the camera pans over to him and he's dancing up and down to the roars of explosions and fire behind him.

Haha, Stephen Merrit's "What a [frick]ing Lovely Day" would work really well too, or a cover of it, that would rock

I don't think I can post that here though
