I think phasma and Luke are reys parents....it's really bugging me...why would Gen phasma be so lame?...why is she even there? Such a cool costume...she has to be important.....just saying.

People keep saying she'll have a bigger role in Episode VIII but her character went out like bitch (whether she was male, female, droid). You're going to shut down the shields because you have a gun to your head? If it was an ordinary stormtrooper I would understand but CAPTAIN Phasma!?! TR-8R, all memes aside, seems like a character that wouldn't have folded under that kind of pressure. What a shame...

**SPOILERS**

Captain Phasma may be dead? Please. Lucasfilm has learned their lesson about prematurely killing off characters. Most likely we'll see her on the run from the First Order and probably a bounty hunter or something along those lines since she committed high treason on Starkiller Base. We're going to see her again.

How about Phasma, who all the promotions make to look like a badass, fights Finn on the forest planet instead of nameless stormtrooper who has been made into a meme. How about Phasma doesn't easily disable the shields like a bitch when captured and acts like an actual captain. She is an exact copy of Boba Fett from the original trilogy looks awesome but in actuality does nothing and gets taken out super easily. We aren't asking for her to be given this deep backstory but we want her to do something to support her being a character. How about they cut the stupid Rathtar scene which even people gushing about the movie agree it was a pointless scene and give it to her to do something.

@RuccusRob probably because Finn was too busy writing jokes for his next scene that he was incapable of standing still for an IMAX poster.

@PenguinMonk very true. He owned all the 'troopers. Finn and Phasma can hang their heads in shame and see themselves straight to the nearest trash compactor.

I swear, if this had TR-8R at the end and they changed 'Gotham' to 'The First Order'... I probably would've ended up really enjoying this movie.

He was the hero this movie deserved.

Phasma was overmarketed. I bet if she hadn't appeared in any commercials or merch, people would be talking about "that cool-looking chrometrooper" instead of that wasted character.

It's a no-brainer that they're saving her for later movies -- I just wish her appearance was among the movie's secrets.
