Too much characters for one poster. 3 pics of Batman, 2 of Bane... It doesn't really work.

little is know about the plot, but it is 'summarized' here. these things are way to soon IMO.

If split into 3 different posters this'd be epic, sadly it's a tad cluttered.

just a little too much many repeat of people.. plain and simple usually makes it better

Its weird... like it was done by an amazing artist with poor direction. There are a lot of weird... things, most people have already mentioned.

Only thing that completely doesn't work is Bane, just standing on top of the Tumbler as it races down the street.
Also, Batman leaning on his fist in the center just looks like he's floating since his fist isn't grounded on something.
Good technique though.
Nucastle
Nucastle - 12/4/2011, 4:18 PM
not good. the batman nose bleed is weird, batman sans mask punching nothing is weird, or should i say he's punching to create a dumb batwing chasing a tumbler scene where bane is standing casually on top? The selina image is terrible, batmans gargoyle image is terrible, and the flashback image is terrible. And i say they're terrible because they lack substance. it's a hodgepodge of unimportant useless images to make some kind of "epic" poster? The artist needs to stop "drawing" and focus on conceiving an image correctly.

Based only on this fanmade poster I just could think TDKR is another MARVEL Universe based movie related to The Avengers.

Said this, EPIC FAIL.

Anyone who's seen a Drew Struzan poster knows that there's no such thing as "too cluttered".

Looks good. I wish I had the drive to do something like this with only a small understanding of what messages, themes, and above all else - story will be in the movie. To me, without that information, it truly DOES become fanart.
SINema666
SINema666 - 12/4/2011, 6:26 PM
ummmm using photoshop and illustrator DOES NOT make you an artist. It makes you a plagiarist.

Hand drawn the same way george lucas thought up all of it "on his own"
Ranger14
Ranger14 - 12/4/2011, 6:29 PM
My idea of "Awesome" and others is quite a bit different. Way too much going on in one poster and no overall concept that brings all the different images together.

The end of an amazing adaptation of the dark knight. I'm just happy that Christopher will be involved with, Superman:MOS, so we will be able to his work on a happier character.
Jolt17
Jolt17 - 12/4/2011, 7:15 PM
I'm not sure. Not that 'amazing' since the renderings are a bit off in some places, that logo used for the title is the ugly one, and while the overall composition looks fine, Bane on Tumbler and Catwoman on Batpod look awkward indeed. As many have stated, too much repeated characters as well, think it'd be a lot better if any of the Bruce or Batman in the back is replaced with the heads of Lucius, Gordon, and Alfred. Removing that Bane on the Tumbler would also help, since without his disturbance, that section would be [frick]ing sweet. Still a great piece of art, but not so much amazing to me.

Nothing to do with my anticipation of the movie, of course. :)
Mikfly
Mikfly - 12/4/2011, 7:20 PM
The more I look at this, the more I'm sure it's just a photoshopped collection of pictures.
