"Back then we had the Nazis coming after us for what we did to their Fuhrer, but the world is an even more dangerous place today, with the weapons out there and the threat of terrorism. So Cap is more important than ever, and the readers need him more than ever. They need a hero they can count on to do the right thing." -Joe Simon (1913 - 2011)

And they said the Captain America movie would bomb because the world didn't want to see it. Glad your creation proved them wrong Sir. RIP and thank you sir for everything you did. Most of us Americans have a Steve Rogers inside us wanting to be a good person and do good things.

@NestHero and FatsMcLemlich - It’s a false dichotomy. You can worry about the money, try to make a character tailored to an audience, AND care about its quality of presentation. I bet Mr. Simon did all those things.
