Warner Bros. Pictures' and Legendary Pictures' "The Dark Knight Rises" is the epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy. The screenplay is written by Christopher Nolan and Jonathan Nolan, story by Christopher Nolan & David S. Goyer. The film is produced by Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Charles Roven, who previously teamed on "Batman Begins" and the record-breaking blockbuster "The Dark Knight." The executive producers are Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Kevin De La Noy and Thomas Tull, with Jordan Goldberg serving as co-producer. The film is based upon characters appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. Batman was created by Bob Kane.

Class all around. Excellent cast. Damn.

I like when he elaborates on film makers having access to the same resources yet Nolan does something very different.

Not too amazing when you consider all forms of art. Some people are better than others. I know people that think recording in an expensive studio is something to brag about when they are still producing shit songs. I have the same art programs and pens as other artists and a lot of them make my shit look like 3rd grade refrigerator art.

It's not the tools, it's the artist. Even with less, a true artist can still produce a quality product.

Can't wait to see this.

Yeah, maybe Nolan actually deserves the praise he gets from industry insiders and fans. The nutty haters with low taste will call all of them Nolanites. Nolan's worst is still better than most.

Meh. I'm (perhaps) most disappointed w/ all the unnecessary collaborations in this movie. If Marion Cotillard doesn't turn out to be Talia, her casting will be totally unnecessary. And I like Joseph Gordon-Levitt, but he doesn't really need to be there. Casting someone else as Harvey Bullock or Renee Montoya would have been a much better idea.

And casting a short white Brit as someone intended to be a large Hispanic character proves to be another stupid collaboration. Normally stuff like that doesn't bother me (I loved Billy Dee Williams as Harvey Dent, & I'm looking forward to seeing Laurence Fishburne as Perry White in MOS), but in this case, Bane is actually supposed to be from an island around South America.

Chris Nolan is probably my new favorite director. He has turned Batman into an Osxar worthy franchise and he has made some pretty greeat movies outside of Batman. Memento and Inception are my favorites. I can't wait till The Dark Knight Rises and if it got nominated for best picture that would be mind blowing for us comic fans. I wonder what Nolan will do after Batman is over.

Nolan's cold, analytical style is why I think he is the PERFECT director for a "later in his career Batman." When Bruce has become "lost inside his monster" and lives only for the hunt, and for his vengeance.
