If this is realism Spidey (webshooters) - then how has a kid like that whipped up a suit like that?, what is it a retconned wetsuit?, the material and construction is waaaaay beyond a school-kids capability.

Its the only thing about the new movie that confuses me.... that and how that crotch attack move could even remotely be worked into an action scene. (Y)

@SimyJo I wouldn't say that (about the suit). You'd be amazed at what cosplayers can come up with on a shoestring budget.

Cerebro I am too, but I need a new trailer before I decide. I'll watch it, but I may wait for the DVD.

SimyJo Agree. LOL. Perhaps they'll explain it, but the wet suit theory I don't think would work because it would be way too hot to wear without being under water. As for what a "retconned wetsuit" is I have no idea. LOL.

"but when you've got a cash-cow franchise as milkable as Spider-Man, you can't expect much of a vacation."

Okay, that isn't why they're making this film. They're making it because Sony will lose the rights to the character if they don't keep churning out movies. I won't dispute that the movie will make money, but Sony's main motivation to rebooting the series so quickly was a legal issue.

The suit is growing in me. If the eyes were silver instead of orange it would be really cool. Also looking forward to the scene where Peter walks down the sidewalk to a classic song.

Well, that's not manly at all. It's okay, Spidey can get away with stuff like this because he's awesome.

I don't get why some people complain that the reboot is taking place so soon. I mean would you rather we go 10 freakin years without a Spider-man movie so you can mourn over the Raimi trilogy, THEN have a reboot. No....reboot this sucker now and get it going. Bring on the trailer!
JDUKE25
JDUKE25 - 1/12/2012, 7:16 PM
Guys I think that's just the reflection off the blue part of the suit, and that line is the separation of the blue and red.
