Talking to
Empire Magazine, Josh Trank has once again expressed interest in helming the planned
Fantastic Four reboot for 20th Century Fox, despite last month claiming that he hadn't even spoken to the studio about it.
"I'm interested in character and interpersonal conflict," he revealed when asked about what his vision for a reboot featuring the team would include.
"What's cool about Fantastic Four, which is an amazing property, is that these are people who started out as human beings, for the most part. Coming to terms with with humanity is the biggest challenge, not the villains they face."
It certainly sounds as if he has a good idea of what a
Fantastic Four movie would need to include, but whether or not the rumors were false or he simply chose
Venom in preference is unknown. He added,
"The best opportunity in my life was to make Chronicle. The next biggest opportunity I can possibly see is to make a really great movie based on characters that I grew up obsessing over and falling in love with, but I can't say one way or another what will happen." Of course, the ideal solution for many would be that he helms them both, but as of right now, it would appear that we won't be seeing a Josh Trank helmed
Fantastic Four.
