*sigh* does JRJR's art kinda take the excitement from this event away for anyone else. I mean really... The man is not good, why does marvel continue to fawn over him.. It's almost as bad as DC giving Liefeld 3 comics... Almost, nothing is worse than Liefeld.

I'm not sure why there is all of this hate towards JR Jr. His run on the Uncanny X-Men in the mid to late 80's (Mutant Massacre) was one of the main reasosn I was drawn to that title and I think that while his line work has deteriorated over the journey, I can make similar commernts about both Miller (compare Daredevil run, Ronin, DKR and early Sin City with later Sin City and DK2) and Mignola (Compare Hellboy Wolves of St August and Seed of Destruction with late Hellboy runs). In both cases, clear detail is given over to oblique foregrounding and less line work. Is it a by product of years of practice (cf comfort in craft) or a deterioration in style? Just saying . . .

Started out reading Uncanny X-Men comics, and loved Claremonts years on the title and those crazy soap-opera mutants. But I am a purist, and think the Avengers need to win this, otherwise the tagline "Earth's Mightiest Heroes" will have to be handed over to a team with Magneto on it.

The Steve Rodgers suit would be much better for Cap...it just looks better he doesnt need the mask anymore. That leads me to think about Cyke and his full body stocking lol

The Annihilators needs K'lrt the Super Skrull. As if they aren't beast enough, but still.

@Intruder: though I will say this about your matchups bro, I'd buy a straight up series around Quasar and Flash instantly, that's great potential right there. And the Nova vs Green Lantern, that'd be the shit too. Which GL though? If it's Hal, I'd say a flat 50/50 match. John Steward or Alan Scott would murder the crap out of Nova in no time though.

I think it will be so lame if Beast,Wolverine,and Storm don't fight on the X-Men side.I like both teams but X-Men and mutants in general have an "us against the world attitude" and for them not to fight for their fellow mutants would ruin this whole series to me.

Unfortunately, it looks like I cut off his name when I tried to put the quotes in bold letter brackets. Man, I'd kill for and edit function on this site.

@0SageMode0: Nova is rocking full Nova Force and Worldmind? I'm behind a bit, but I'd thought that they powered him down for a while to let him gain more control over it all. If he has his full force, then it's easy mode for him also.

And, I wasn't going to say anything about Batman vs Ronan, but do I really need to :D
