The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy

Let's just enjoy all of these awesome CBM's we are so fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to see on the big screen. The Avengers, The Amazing Spider-man, and The Dark Knight Rises could all three easily become 3 of the best CBM's so far. Let's just enjoy each one, and have fun with them. The Amazing Spider-man looks great! Can't wait!

Well in a way I am glad that they didn't show the footage. We will get trailer 2 around May. Probably with Avengers. I would rather see finished footage than unfinished.

I love the way Marc Webb is handling this movie. Realistic by means of human nature, it's not a question of science vs. science fiction. That's how all superhero films need to be made, it makes way for an incredible movie that's faithful to the comics as well. My expectations for this film are through the roof.

This film is being handled so well. From the actors, to the writers, to the viral campaign. You can tell they really care and i think it'll show.

So yeah, where did Matt Tolmach say exactly that they would "steer away from Uncle Ben being being the catalyst for Peter's decision to become Spider-man"?
mrexcellent
mrexcellent - 3/18/2012, 4:38 PM
I like Emma Stone as an actress, I'm really exciting for what she's going to bring to the table. But I disagree with what she says about Mary Jane. MJ likes Peter for Peter from the get go.

Now, if Emma's talking about the movie version, then I guess she's partially accurate. But, even there, Kirsten's MJ does love Peter for who he is as well.

What did the second to last girl say?? Why did they kick her out?

Of course, I totally missed the joke. Never mind, I think Emma gets that they were both good for Peter in totally different ways. Ignore my comment above.

CaptainAmerica31
CaptainAmerica31 - 3/18/2012, 7:25 PM
@davidgray she asked a Q about how Emma stone became a actress so it was totally irrelvant and IDK why they would kick her out though?
mayo23
mayo23 - 3/18/2012, 8:16 PM
After her irrelevant question she wanted to ask Emma a personal question, to which she was a bit hesitant. Then they cut her off.
PeterParker1991
PeterParker1991 - 3/19/2012, 3:29 PM
So, in a twenty-eight minute comic con there were no questions about the Amazing Spiderman film. I hope that's a joke. Should I even bother watching.
