my opinion : Gordon finds out Gotham's shiesty officals are pulling some inside job activities ( similar to 9/11 and peoples assumptions that Bush and his goons planned it ) and goes on the run since he's being hunted down..which explains why he was in the hospital bed since Batman was on hiatus and now has to come back to stop the anarchy..Bane could be a freelance mercenary since the CIA official told the man he was holding out the plane in the prologue " Alot of loyalty for a hired gun " ..idk how Selina Kyle plays into all this since her role is so secretive but I guess she is much like she is portrayed in comics..on the fence at time whether to help or hurt Batman, and im assuming she joins his side later in the film since shes on his Batpod and seen next to him talking in set pics

I just cant wait for July 20, 2012

"...a plot to destroy the city from within..."
no sh*t! :P

Gordon fugitive? now that's a twist.

Plot to destroy Gotham from within? Sounds like the synopsis from the other 2 films to me. Just saying. SMH

I'm guess whatever Gordon finds gets him jacked up and in the hospital. Then cue return of Batman. :)

Gordon being a fugitive in a Bane-ruled Gotham? THAT IS PRETTY [frick]ING SWEET!!

@0SageMode0 and aliens trying to destroy New York City and a god trying to rule humanity is original to you? SMH.
Bane2099
Bane2099 - 3/18/2012, 6:21 PM
I'm guessing once Bane takes over Gotham he has Gordon proclaimed a fugitive and whats him brought in, some cops go with it and a few are still on Gordons side protecting him, enter JGL John Blake, one of the few who still sees Gordon as a good cop
KRog
KRog - 3/18/2012, 6:21 PM
It doesn't seem official; it's very poorly edited.

The fugitive plot seems pretty legit, however.
BruceLeroy
BruceLeroy - 3/18/2012, 6:24 PM
Seems like Bane might have complete control over Gotham. That's the only way Gordan could become a fugitive.

before anyone asks about the aspect ratio of the film cells, it looks to be 35mm anamorphic, thus why the frame is stretched vertically, rather than the taller ratio 70mm imax which goes sideways thru the camera

and the "i have your back" thing is the lamest "official" thing linked to this bat series so far

ANTONIO - "@0SageMode0 and aliens trying to destroy New York City and a god trying to rule humanity is original to you"

If AVENGERS 2 has the same story of alien trying to destroy the planet and a god tries to rule it, then the redundant comparison will be valid.

forthesakeofnow - 3/18/2012, 6:30 PM
@0SageMode0

im assuming the destruction from within mentioned here is one done by the people of gotham themselves after banes influence, rather than by the joker or by ras directly like the last two films, can only assume tho like you.
Comix
Comix - 3/18/2012, 6:33 PM
Nolanite how is it you can judge the avengers so much but you still dont know the whole plot? I mean TDKR trailer almost looked like an explosion fest too. And with the crowd Marvel is trying to pull in, what is wrong with trying to add in explosions in stuff? I mean if i were a director id do the same thing, because if im not mistaken, transformers 3 did the same thing and brought in a billion dollars. And before you go rambling out on me, im no whedonite, this is the first time i heard of him. But come on man, what is it you have against Avengers?
forthesakeofnow
forthesakeofnow - 3/18/2012, 6:35 PM
@comix

i dont want to make too much of this but there is a considerable amount of difference between the number of explosions in the two trailers and how many there are relative to the amount of story told. lol

explosion fest seems a tad excessive for the TDKR trailer
Comix
Comix - 3/18/2012, 6:36 PM
No matter what, no plot will ever be original now a days. It is all about the way it will be executed, and both films look like they will execute their plots epicly
Comix
Comix - 3/18/2012, 6:38 PM
@shadow

ok but still, that is not all the avengers is going to be about, neither is tdkr. Its just crazy how people can be so...idk, hateful to a film they havent even seen.

because of the trailers and that book that came out and practically told you the whole story
Gnyah123

Like batman said in Batman Begins: "I know where i stand
between you and the people of gotham" something like that to Ra's near the end...
which explains the picture i think..kinda cool
nice i love the Plot Synopsis! now all we need is a new trailer!
