Ah, Mark Millar. His pretentiousness never gets old.

No, wait, YES IT DOES.

When was the last time Mark Millar made good on his promises?

i like some of millar's books

-wolverine old man logan
-civil war
-kick ass
-kick ass 2
-superior
-nemesis

i'll definetly checkout supercrooks more for the artist than the writer.

also make a movie of superior that would be fantastic.

Loved the vid. I'm so excited for this. I'm always excited for anything with Mark Millar's name on it.

Not really a fan of his, I think he just believes by making every character swear and having gore, for some reason why his books are more realistic. Don't get me wrong it worked with kick ass, but now having read all his books I am just feel I am reading the same character over and over again.

Does he only write comics if the ideas are pre-approved for movies as well? Seriously, this hand-in-hand comics and movies thing with Millar screams "sell-out". I don't care if he's got good ideas, he obviously doesn't care as much about creating good comics as he does about whoring out and making bank.

If he cares so much about the Hollywood end of it, then he should just write screenplays.

Gladiator looks a lot better than any of the villains, at least the ones on the cover look pretty lame.

If I had to choose which is more credible: Mark Millar or the Mayans, it would be the Mayans by a landslide.

I imagine most studios don't want to do business with a guy who spends 90% of his time blabbing privy information on Twitter.

As long as this is better than the turgid Nemesis book, then it might be worth it. I think Millar is going the way of (Frank) Miller and has already peaked, now leading to a dramatic downward spiral involving his versions of All Star Batman & Robin and Holy Terror.

Also why do we need a Nemesis 2, didn't Nemesis 1 say everything that needed to be said?

basically a lot of the comments here have already said it. mark millar is becoming frank miller, hollywood adapts a couple of his things and it completely has gone to his head.. the guy thinks he is gods gift to man kind, and yet while his work is starting to stink. nemesis was average, and superior started out strong and ended terribly, not to mention issue 5 was months late.

i am hoping he turns it around with supercrooks. civil war and the ultimates are two of my favorite comics ever and Wanted was the pinnacle of his work as far as im concerned. i really want to like millar again, and its not like he all of a sudden stopped being talented. but the fact that they are making the movie at the same time as the comic just doesnt help the way i see him as this annoying douchebag that has become infatuated with hollywood and with dollar signs in his eyes

what a bunch of resentful little whiners. who cares if he's got a movie lined up? good for him. If I wrote a comic and someone wanted to turn it into a movie (especially after how successfully kick-ass was adapted), then i'd take that deal in a second.

i like civil war, ultimates, old man logan. i like that millar has his own opinions and his work is strong enough to where he doesn't have to cater to 'fans', most of whom are great and don't act like spoiled children like the highly vocal minority who make their presence known and loud online.

people write comic books to make some money, people create movies, to make money. that doesn't make anyone a sell out. If the integrity of his story telling greatly suffers because he's trying to make a comic-to-movie, then he's a sell out.

I feel Like Millar takes cool Ideas and Presents them in Entertaining ways, and then he does some stupid execution . But I don't mind if he writes his books just to adapt them into Movies, it's his thing. And I still enjoy them for the most part.

reminds me of that one issue of GUTTERS where they poke fun at Mark Millar. I think he is a fantastic writer, he keeps things fresh, he is always doing something new and amazing. He isn't repeating himself like many other comic writers. I like his indie and mainstream comics. Thanks to him he changed the Marvel Universe. He should make a glorious comeback to the Marvel Mainstream. I could see him writing Spider-man really well again

@nuclearpriest. That's all on Harris. Image projects don't pay the bills so they get less priority.

That looks cool; Leinil Yu's art surely is gold, but the designs look great, too. I might check out the TPB when it's out.

Interesting teaser, too.

Superior was awesome I love Millars Ultimates work except for his last run where everyone Hulked out.

And you have to give him credit for his Ultimates ideas which have influenced the Marvel Cinematic Universe. DC should have let him write Superman
