The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

the trailer alone looks like this movie will be so much better than the last trilogy of movies which were average, and in the case of the third movie below average.

And noticed Spiderman doesnt wear his mask often either. Really deserves to be in Avengers. How do they explain him in NY and Avengers in NY?

Now, this movie is looking better.

I think this spiderman version might be better then the one, Tobey Maguire was apart of.

Wow this was a whole new trailer practically and it was [frick]ig amazing! I was doubting the acting a little but then my hopes sky rocketed after this! This movie has so much potential to he great its not overhyped at all.by the way I saw the avengers and it was pretty good but not as good as iron-man 1 IMO still a pretty good movie, no where near the est CBM though

from the trailer it does feel like its similar to the HULK(2003) origin.

but i cant blame them from trying that cause they do need to do a different story compare to the other Spider-Man movies.
