The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

I'm a huge comic nerd (obviously), but I'm probably gonna skip this one. I at least won't rush to see it like TDKR, Avengers, or Prometheus.

Wait..................Is that really how the mouth is going to look? Ugh........ Looks like the mouth was animated for a Pixar movie. That was my initial reaction to the POV scenes too. This does not bode well.

Watched the last trailer and I was excited for this film!

Seen these promo images and I don't know if I can be bothered watching it.

I'll think I'll wait for the reviews on release before making a decision.

Seriously the head is completely shit, everything else looks ok, it's just his head looks [frick]ing lame.

I'm with you mawilli4. I don't think it looks bad at all. The image superimposed over crappy backgrounds doesn't do it justice at all, same with the crappy toys being released. I think it's a good thing that they went with the original Ditko version. I think Rhys Ifans will bring something to this version that couldn't be done with the crocodile snout version.
Spidey91
Spidey91 - 5/8/2012, 5:42 PM
ehh,he looks good,looks like a f*cking Lizard.
the snout would have been cooler thou.

and turning into a humanoid Lizard leaves you without junk, who would have guess it? no wonder why he's pissed off :P

I think people were just getting used to how Spidermans new suit looks and then they decide to dump this crap in the mix...seriously!

The story better make up for the shit Lizard look!

@Gaston ....damn bro you're killing it LOL!

I think those promo pictures don't do him justice.
Shadowelfz

I really dont know how this ones going to go. The trailers look interesting enough but so did Green Lanterns and Transformers. Lizard looks terrible and everything I've seen Garfield in he's not exactly impressed me with his acting. Mark Webb is pretty untested when it comes to CBMs. Then again, the same kind of things could have been said about First Class and that turned out good.

Well just have to wait and see
OnLeatherWings

The reviews are going to make or break this film. Personally i.think it will succeed and turn out to be a hit like x men first class was. Time will tell I guess. It's def down on my list of movies to see still. Tdkr and prometheus are at.the top
