Kapow! Comic Con 2012: New Footage From THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN To Premiere

The organisers of this year's Kapow! Comic Convention (taking place in London this weekend) have revealed that Sony Pictures are bringing brand new footage from The Amazing Spider-Man. Hit the jump for details.

SFX reveal that fans attending the Kapow! Comic Convention this Sunday will be lucky enough to be treated to a sneak peek of brand new and exclusive footage from The Amazing Spider-Man; the highly anticipated reboot from director Marc Webb. That's all the details we have for now, but stay tuned to CBM for more details over the next few days and my coverage of the event this weekend.

In addition to comic-book panels with Marvel, DC, Image and Millarworld, other events taking place include An Audience with Nick Frost, Noel Clarke Q&A with exclusive footage from Storage 24, the creative team behind Batman: Arkham City from Rocksteady Studios, British writer and director Gareth Evans talking The Raid, two of Britain’s biggest comedians as Jimmy Carr interviews Frankie Boyle live about his love of geek culture, the much loved TV personality and comic-book writer Jonathan Ross talking America’s Got Powers and a TV panel with Tom MacRae, Russell Tovey, Adam Garcia, Lucy Brown and Tom Allen.

Can't [frick]ing wait. Any idea why the end time of panels aren't on the timetable though? I'll have to write up a schedule so I know where to go and at what times etc

Regarding another famous comic character...

If there is not ONE bit of Dredd film promotion at this weekend's Kapow! convention I will be genuinely dismayed.

Kapow! is a major British comic convention and to have nothing about the new Judge Dredd film - out in September! - will be a terribly missed opportunity by DNA Films and IM Global (the producers of the film).

As a long term Judge Dredd fan, the marketing - or rather, the NON-marketing - of Dredd is shameful.
