Prometheus may have already been dominating the box office overseas, but it isn't released in North America until this coming Friday. Below are two more TV spots for Ridley Scott's epic return to the sci-fi genre, but be warned as they contain a fair few spoiler-filled moments from the film. Don't forget to check out my 5* review of Prometheus by clicking HERE.

In the distant future, two superpowers control Earth and fight each other for all the solar system's natural resources. When one side dispatches a team to a distant planet to terraform it for human colonization, the team discovers an indigenous race of bio-mechanoid killers. Ridley Scott, director of 'Alien' and 'Blade Runner,' returns to the genre he helped define. With PROMETHEUS, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.

Guy Pearce as Stannison

@grif

if you are thinking about look of the tech still, remember that the prometheus ship is brand new state of the art and even tho alien is set 60 years later the ship is shown to be much older and simpler as a mining vessel so it could explain as to why things are newer in an older set film in the movie world.

Oh for Shit's sake grif the only problem you have with the film is that they chose to make the technology look to be higher tech by todays standards.

The alternative being trying to recreate what passed as high tech in 1979.

Pass.

Stop throwing a series of shit storm childish fits because the displays on the ship don't look like alarm clock radios from 1980.

[frick] it, I can't sleep.

@dmadtroll Prometheus won't, it doesn't have a hardcore fan following and hardly anyone outside the media even knows what the hell it's about.

TDKR Maybe. But doubtful. Avengers was fluke (Was it awesome and did it deserve it's earnings? Of Course!). It didn't have any competition and it was at the start of the summer. Much like Avatar (Everyone's power was out and had nothing to do except watch blue pocahontas in 3D) TDK only got it's earnings by the same thing, and of course Heath's death and everyone hearing about it and went in saw the movie to see why it was such a big deal. TDKR will bring fans and people who liked TDK but it comes out in July, thus people will be on vacation and not really pay attention to movies.

TASM Not a chance. Sure it's Spidey, But everyone outside the media is still confused on why this isn't Spider-Man 4. It's gotten major advertising (3 trailers, multiple TV Spots, and 4 and 6 min. clips!) But it still feels shadowed and hidden.

The Hobbit Now There's a possibility. It's fan following is uncanny and it appears to be a major hit.

But I think we all know what will break Avengers' Box Office reputation: That goes to Dredd.

;)

Saw it on Friday it was a good film, not the best but still a good film. The Viral videos painted a better and more interesting image of the film then how it actually turned out.

Michael Fassbender hijacked the whole film, you fill more attached to him then any other character, there was a point in the film when I just stopped caring about anyone and really couldn't care if they all died.

6.5/10

Film started of very promising with outstanding visuals. Then it quickly descended in to Teen-Horror flick territory with characters making ridiculous decisions against all common sense or logic. The whole higher intelligence aliens that created mankind is a let down of colossal proportions and the continuity with the original Alien movie is accurate in some places but ignored in others.

Basically an expensive visual treat with a screenplay that's attempting to appear more intelligently written that it actual delivers. Serves its purpose with the contrived ending to set up another franchise for 20th Century Fox so they cam make some easy bucks from fanboys.

6/10

Grif did you go looking for honey and ended up swallowing the whole honeycomb? Sure looks that way to me... Anyway, given that the movie was written by the genius behind Lost, it's no wonder the script is weak...

@Grif i'm with you buddy!!

Visually great in 3d, but story was all over the place and a waste of time in my opinion!!

I wanted space jockeys for more than 5 x mins and wanted the origin of the aliens!!

You are better off staying in and watching aliens special edition!!!

Anyone who thinks this has any shot in hell of ever coming anywhere even remotely close to the Avengers is a lunatic.

No R rated film is going to even crack the top 40 films grosses of all time.
