Variety reports that Warner Bros. have found their first partners for the upcoming
Man of Steel and
The Hobbit films. The lists are made up of names which will be instantly recognisable to fans. For Superman's return to the big screen, these include LEGO, Mattel, Rubie's Costume Co, Noble Collection, Kinetix, Junkfood, Bioworld, Converse and Hallmark. These companies will produce the toys, clothing and everything else you would expect to be released alongside a summer blockbuster featuring one of the world's most recognisable superheroes.
Toys for
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and
The Hobbit: There And Back Again will be handled by Bridge Direct and Vivid Group, while Harper Collins will be publishing various book tie-ins. Most exciting however is the fact that WETA Workshop and Noble Collection will team-up to produce various film props, so keep your eyes peeled for your very own Sting this Christmas!
"With world-class licensees and retailers as our partners, we expand upon the Warner Bros. entertainment experience by creating merchandising programs that connect to consumers on a global scale," said Warner Bros. Consumer Products' Brad Globe.
"With tentpole films, a strong animation slate and the sheer strength of our property portfolio as the foundation for our licensing program, we arrive in Las Vegas for this year's Licensing Show with unmatched opportunities."
