Chris Hemsworth Would Like To See Charlize Theron As Enchantress In THOR 2

Chris Hemsworth shares his thoughts on the Enchantress appearing in Thor 2 and how he would feel about the villain being played by Charlize Theron, despite her busy schedule making it incredibly unlikely.

Rumour has it that we'll see the Enchantress in Thor 2 alongside the villain being played by Mads Mikkelsen. In fact, whenever there's any mention of this particular female villain, it doesn't take long for Charlize Theron's name to crop up; something that the God of Thunder himself addresses in the below video interview. Enchantress is an Asgardian goddess who is extremely experienced in the use of magic and is also skilled at seduction through supernatural means. She has been both an ally and an enemy to Thor, although she often chooses the latter. [Comic Vine]

"I don't know much at all but it sounds interesting," Chris Hemsworth told MTV Splash Page when asked for his thoughts on the recent Enchantress rumours. "I'm not playing the usual, sidestepping that we normally have to do, I haven't read a script. They have a bunch of different ideas, but that sounds interesting." After being told that his Snow White and the Huntsman co-star Charlize Theron is a fan favourite for the role, he said: "Oh right. Well she certainly plays a pretty intimidating villain, I think she'd be awesome but I think she's tied up in 20 other films. I think she's going on to 'Mad Max' next. [But] you never know. Fingers crossed!"

STARRING:

Chris Hemsworth as Thor
Natalie Portman as Jane Foster
Tom Hiddleston as Loki
Anthony Hopkins as Odin
Idris Elba as Heimdall
Ray Stevenson as Volstagg
Joshua Dallas as Fandral
Jaimie Alexander as Sif

I would not complain AT ALL if that happened.
Though I picture Enchantress a bit younger, I can't complain about Charlize. She is amazing.

The problem with the Enchantress in Thor 2 would be that they cannot harm a woman through a lightning strike, hammer strike, etc without it making Thor like a villian. Simple message: Good guys don't hit women
HelaGood
HelaGood - 6/8/2012, 3:43 PM
@IronLeprechaun no definite word yet... apart from the fact that Mads Mikkelsen is in talks to play "one of the villains" and Feige said that while Loki has a part, "there will be a different villain, another big villain"

marantaz
marantaz - 6/8/2012, 3:58 PM
No to Theron. She's not big enough in so many ways. Besides, Theron is looking older than she is, and the Enchantress would not allow that to happen to her. Get someone tall, young and beautiful... and wicked sexy.
HelaGood
HelaGood - 6/8/2012, 3:59 PM
i just wish Jane Foster was not in this one. she was soooo weak. would love to see Sif and Amora fight over Thor.

DEFENDER

any blonde actress will make a great enchantress but what we really need is a helmet for chris hemsworth.
Oarsis
Oarsis - 6/8/2012, 4:10 PM
I say go for someone who is close to Jaimie Alexander's age (Sif), so we can see a rivalry, like from the comics....

And, someone not very well known, but still great!
How about Mircea Monroe:

I like her!
Give her the accent, and boom....Enchantress!
