Inventive New Billboard For THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Spotted

Well, this certainly isn't a bad bit of marketing by Warner Bros! With many of the posters, trailers and TV spots all pointing to the destruction of Gotham City, this billboard (spotted somewhere in the US) features Batman's logo smashed straight through it; an undeniably clever design and perhaps an ominous sign of what Christopher Nolan has planned for the Caped Crusader in the finale to his trilogy. Don't forget to get in touch with us HERE with your photographs if you happen to spot anything similar in the build up to the release of The Dark Knight Rises next month and be sure to share your thoughts on this billboard below.

Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ "The Dark Knight Rises" is the epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy. The screenplay is written by Christopher Nolan and Jonathan Nolan, story by Christopher Nolan & David S. Goyer. The film is produced by Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Charles Roven, who previously teamed on “Batman Begins” and the record-breaking blockbuster "The Dark Knight." The executive producers are Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Kevin De La Noy and Thomas Tull, with Jordan Goldberg serving as co-producer. The film is based upon characters appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. Batman was created by Bob Kane.

STARRING:

Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman
Michael Caine as Alfred
Gary Oldman as Commissioner Jim Gordon
Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox
Tom Hardy as Bane
Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle/Catwoman
Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake
Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate
Josh Pence as Ra's Al Ghul

RELEASE DATE: July 20th, 2012

Holy shit!!

Why the [frick] something like this can't be the Final poster!
They've released 4th trailer, let's release a 4th, 5th & 6th poster as well!!

I did like last poster as well... But this is clever!
That's simple BATMAN infront of fire.... It was ok!
But more like this..... Hopefully many more on their way!!

[frick]ing sick. I just start seeing buses with TDKR ads on them yesterday too. The earth quake machine part of the film has only been displayed through promo art. So, either it's a small part of the film, or something mind-blowing that's been kept quiet from clips.

@THEGODDAMNDEADPOOL The marketing is cooler still for those who don't recognize the bat symbol. If I was a casual film-goer I'd note the date on the sign and find out what it is out of curiousity. When I realize it's related to BATMAN....Damn. Interested.
