As Mister Fantastic, The Invisible Woman, The Human Torch and The Thing head off-world with Franklin and Valeria Richards on an epic adventure in the pages of Matt Fraction and Mark Bagley's Fantastic Four, FF will see Ant-Man (Scott Lang) leading a squad of heroes which includes Medusa, She-Hulk and all-new character Miss Thing. "It's a dark twist on what the Fantastic Four is about — it's the other side of the coin," Fraction said of the series earlier this month. Miss Thing has been describe as a "Lohan-esque celebutante blonde" who dons armor based on, well, you can work that one out for yourselves. In the covers below, each of the team get their moment in the spotlight courtesy of artist Mike Allred, and as you can see, all four covers connect to one another.

Ummm... Why is Medusa joining the FF? She's a Inhuman? Also is that Ant-Man O'Grady? Because if he is, he's either replaced or a traitor as seen in some of the latest issues of Secret Avengers.

the artwork is total crap...looks like some of the old 1970's art...which was great at the time, but by today's standards it just doesn't hold up...and to be honest, I'm not too crazy about the team in general except for She-Hulk, since she was a member of the team once...not excited for this at all

Allred is a great artist. But Miss thing just ruins this for me.

He draws a gorgeous She-Hulk though.

These are great! A lot of these artists are trained and can do stylized reality if they want to. Minimalism and creating a signature style like this takes restraint and control that a lot of people lack. Anyone can draw, few can get remembered. Just like JRJR, say what you will, but he is a well known artist with his own style that is easily recognizable from others.

Is this suppose to be rehab-version of the Fantastic Four? That whole "dark side" they're talking about is really the only thing that would make me give this a shot.

jesus christ, FF was originally about fun, family, and imagination. Allred's the PERFECT artist to bring back some of that Kirby sense of wonder the book had its first 102 issues.

Matt Fraction is a GREAT writer! Allred is a GREAT artist!
what's the worry?

Allred had a ton of fun with X-Force and gave us Doop, and i think that's why we have something as goofy as "Ms. Thing". it's a bit of a throwback, sure, but at least it isn't grim n gritty 90s

lighten up a little, yeesh

Nomis - i truthfully feel like given their body of work, Kirby would be happy to have had such immense influence over creators like Allred, Bruce Timm, and Darwyn Cooke.

So she would be like iron man fighting baddies in his armor with no helmet , she should last about one or two battles then get a super punch to the head and die a horrible bloody death .

superotherside - Medusa has hung out with (and substituted in) the FF a number of times. So has She-Hulk. But what am a Miss Thing? Even Stan might cock his head at that one. HOWEVER . . .
NorrinRaddical is dead on correct! I can't wait for their version the FF Space Opera! This does NOT mean that I'm glad Hickman is gone. NO! And NO again! He was (is) the best FF writer since Stan himself. But lets see what fun Fraction and Allred can get them into.

I like the style, today's comic art doesn't hold a candle to that of yesteryear, pluses when it comes to inking and coloring it is all done in photoshop and illustrator and takes no real skill. This style of art stands out among most books today and gives the comic more of a fantasy nOn reality, which is what comics are supposed to be. I don't enjoy looking at mOdern comic art the way I do old stuff this is a fresh and much needed change. That said miss thing is stupid.

This is Matt Fraction, and there is a character called Miss Thing... I... don't understand... Two theroys, a very late April Fools joke, or a Skull impersonating Matt Fraction trying to ruin his name...

The art is hideous.

Although I do love Medusa.
plasticman

I have a feeling that we will all love the character of Miss Thing by the end of the year. Maybe this is a really bad publicity stunt. I see a joke just in her name: miss thing. With the target audience the reason she was brought in was to attract attention to this new take because something is "miss-th-ing." Get it, something is missing.

She-Hulk is already the strong one...they need a flyer with projectiles on this team. Wait for Tony Stark to stop by, mention how ridiculous she looks, have a one night stand, and then build her an Miss Iron suit.

I know I'm stretching it, but I want there to be hope in this concept for the House of Ideas.
