POLL: How Do You Feel About Disney And STAR WARS: EPISODE VII?

Ok, so we've had a few days to let the news sink in and have all accepted by now that it wasn't a dream; Disney really did buy LucasFilm and a SEVENTH Star Wars film is indeed just three years away. So, how do you feel about quite possibly the biggest news story of the year now? Here's your chance to decide...

When Disney bought Marvel for $4 billion back in 2009, they pretty much left the company alone to carry on with what they'd successfully been doing for many years before the purchase. Yes, there were a few changes here and there, but nothing too major. That's not the case with LucasFilm. Disney are planning on ushering in a whole new era of Star Wars films with a new trilogy (something that fans never thought they would see) and countless other types of merchandise, TV shows and video games too. Thought it was weird seeing The Avengers toys in the Disney Store? Just wait until it's Star Wars' turn! However, this is by no means a bad thing, although some older fans definitely don't seem to happy with the news. Well, here is your chance to sound off with exactly how you feel about Disney's acquisition of LucasFilm and their decision to bring us a seventh movie in 2015.

As long as they bring Jar jar Binks back I'll be happy.

I'm very uneasy about this. Hopefully, it won't end up like the prequels.

Also, please no one say "It can't be worse than the prequels because Lucas isn't involved." That's just an ignorant assumption.

I wonder how far away we are from scanning someone into a computer and making movies from that . If they could do that we could have new Star Wars movies with a young Luke , Lea and Han and that would be awesome .

Disney has plans for the Star Wars trilogy. So that's a good thing. But at the same time, I hope Disney doesn't make the Star Wars movies to kiddy! Overall, I'm happy that we will finally get a great Star Wars movie.

@gunsmith, you should consider making an article about your finding I read a lot of the site, and it very interesting stuff considering the fact that we know there is an outline for the next trilogy of films. It would be a great deal of stuff to speculate and debate over.

What's the problem? The whole world has been wanting a new Star Wars a 7,8,9 without Lucas since the prequels, maybe for some since Return of the Jedi, and still people are complaining??? Look Disney isn't stupid, they realize the prequels were a bomb with the fans they will bring in great writers a great director to do it right..

There was no way George Lucas was going to make another 3 episodes, the only way the next 3 would be done is if he sold the rights to Star Wars. George was just passing the tour...lightsaber to the next company. Disney will make it work IMO.

I'm incredibly excited. A Star Wars movie without Lucas writing or directing sounds fantastic. And after Marvel and Pixar, I think Disney will do just as well with LucasFilm.

Honestly after the prequels were made the series was somewhat sullied, so I have no issue with new films and new characters, either we stay equally dejected or we respark our love for star wars.
