We've seen plenty of photos from the set of Kick-Ass 2 as it filmed in both Toronto and London these past few months, but the sequel to Matthew Vaughn's 2010 movie has now begun post-production as shooting wrapped up last week. Director Jeff Wadlow and several of the core cast members are on social networking site Twitter, and they have all shared their thoughts on their time working on the highly anticipated sequel (which many thought would never happen). Check them out below and be sure to stay tuned for more updates on the movie as the release draws nearer.

Kick-Ass, Hit Girl and Red Mist return for the follow-up to 2010’s irreverent global hit: Kick-Ass 2. After Kick-Ass’ (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) insane bravery inspires a new wave of self-made masked crusaders, led by the badass Colonel Stars and Stripes (Jim Carrey), our hero joins them on patrol. When these amateur superheroes are hunted down by Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse)—reborn as The Mother F%&*^r—only the blade-wielding Hit Girl (Chloe Grace Moretz) can prevent their annihilation.

STARRING:

Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Kick-Ass
Chloë Grace Moretz as Hit-Girl
Christopher Mintz-Plasse as Red Mist
Jim Carrey as Colonel Stars
Donald Faison as Doctor Gravity
Lindy Booth as Night Bitch
Andy Nyman as The Tumor
Robert Emms as Insect Man
John Leguizamo as Javier
Morris Chestnut as Sergeant Marcus Williams

RELEASE DATE: June 28th, 2013

Well you gotta remember. Kick-Ass 2 has a lower budget then most films, also, they use and prefer practical over CG effects.
