Seriously? TDKR was not that good, and this is coming from a huge Nolan fan. The first two films in the series are some of my favorite movies of all time.

And here come the morons who are going to say look at how desperate WB are. I'm not TDKR biggest fan, but I think it's a good movie and if it does get nominated for anything than kudos to them. I hope it does get nominated because any good CBM that gets a bit of recognition by the academy is a good thing.

Can't wait for the Oscars this year. Seth McFarlane's hosting, which is an inspired choice. That guy is so showbiz. He better be doing a Billy Crystal style opening montage, though, or his talents are going awasted.

I hope they all do tbh, as each were fantastic in their own right.

This years awards is going to be an interesting watch, especially since Seth MacFarlane is hosting.

Anyone claiming to be a real CBM fan, regardless of what they think of TDKR personally, should be rooting for it to get nominated because it's good for the genre as a whole. It brings a level of respectability to it in the eyes of the industry, and would help to attract more top level talent toward making these kinds of films in the future. More CBM's would get made if TDKR were to win, and studios would be more willing to take risks with hiring interesting film makers in the future. You can bet if WB hadn't of had the success they did with hiring a smaller, mostly unknown Director at the time like Nolan for Batman Begins, Marvel never would've taken a risk on someone like Whedon, with very little actual movie Directing experience under his belt to helm something as big as The Avengers.

Glad to see Looper, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, and Skyfall there - my Top 3 of 2012. (Django Unchained hasn't been released yet.) Hopefully, they'll get the recognition.

Why are they desperate? Way i see it, regardless of who gets the award, the hundreds of people on the crew get to say 'Yeah, I worked on that awesome film that won an Oscar" Good for them.

TDKR has had some pretty sweet consideration posters, this one is no exception - these would make some great additions to a collection. Pity the Marvel fans don't get any cool posters like this to collect (and lets not delude ourselves, the Marvel boys would absolutely love to see posters like this appear for The Avengers).

Whether the movies in question get nominated or not, these are great publicity tools that help keep the movies in the public eye (it certainly gets a lot of people here foaming at the mouth whenever a new one appears).

Just watched Looper on blu-ray, third time I've seen it and it and TDKR are by far my favorite of the year. Django's a close 3rd place. Didn't care for Skyfall at ALL.

Oscars have been a joke for many years now. Only fitting that a joke of a movie like TDKR win something lol Oscars mean nothing anymore anyway. For a lot of actors/actresses it means the death of their careers. Halle Berry anyone? Anyway, joke or not, TDKR deserves no reward higher than a Razzie.

Looper was an enjoyable movie overall, but a pretty standard flick. Nothing really special about it. Haven't seen Django, but I'm not a Tarantino fan anyway, and have a feeling this is more of his standard crap.

Don't get the love for Hobbits, and haven't yet seen Skyfall. Heard good things, and hope to God it doesn't disappoint me the way Quantum of Solace did!

Sorry but The Dark Knight Rises was nowherenear as good as The Dark Knight and that only got (a well deserved) "Best Supporting Actor" so I just can't see TDKR being seriously considered. If anything, I'd say it's one of the weakest offerings Nolan's put forth so far. Everything else here has merit so I really do hope the Oscars recognize some CBMs this year.
