And did Geoff Johns just forget that Superman was there with the them or did he think it wise for Aquaman not to try to take on Superman? I think the latter.

Also, Geoff Johns will always be my favorite writers as long as he continues to make Batman a punching bag. Always prepared for everything, except when you're not.

LOL at that variant cover I mean Superman looks a little like a douche, Wonder Woman got some real big lips there, and Aquaman looks like a badly drawn Sylvester Stalone cartoon character. Was this like a competition for under 15 year old kids to draw a cover for a DC comic. If was even that they didn't have a good pool to chose from because I have seen kids that age and younger draw much much better then that.

@ Jayoh - Batman is DC's highest grossing character because Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns made him into Bat-God. He had the appeal of a human with no superpowers, but he could bring down godly beings like Superman, Darkseid and Galactus.

Clearly Geoff Johns has learned that if Batman can do everything, why have superpowered heroes at all? Just let Batman be take care of everything.


Also, he's one of the big three because, thanks to Superman, he was one of the only three superheroes to survive the Congress code of conduct of the 1940s (Notice how the three are all in DC and all have a close relationship with the Big blue Guy?). He's not a member of the big three because he's special, DC just has to make him special and unbeatable or people will wonder why is Batman on the team.
