Iceman, Rogue And Shadowcat Confirmed For X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST

As you can see from the Tweet below, Bryan Singer has confirmed that Anna Paquin, Ellen Page and Shawn Ashmore will indeed reprise their roles as Rogue, Shadowcat and Iceman in X-Men: Days of Future Past. When we last saw these three, Rogue was powerless, Iceman finally took on an appearance closer to that of his comic book counterpart and Kitty had proven herself by facing off against the Juggernaut. However, does the fact that he thanks X-Men: The Last Stand director Brett Ratner for not killing them off mean that we won't get to also see Cyclops and Jean Grey return? The former was not treated at all well in the third and final instalment of the original trilogy as his commitment to Superman Returns meant he was rather unceremoniously killed off. Regardless, there's now only a few other cast members left who we have yet to hear from in regards to a possible return in this film. Are you pleased that these three will be back?

well honestly don't care much about Ashmore or Paquin returning, glad Ellen Page is back she's solid actress you give her the material and the girl will perform. This gives me hope that they'll atleast take some elements from DOFP arc. Never expected a straight up adaptation(don't know why you would, in all honesty). But I'm still sticking to my theory that Singers gonna pull Abrams and kinda reset or split or reboot whatever the [frick] that Abrams did in the last Trek movie.

@SuperDude001 Superman Returns was [frick]ing boring, I mean it was really boring, where as the Last Stand was a piece of shit, I'd rather CBM boring then a piece of shit that makes me wanna turn the movie off. and really what was so wrong about what he said to Ratner, the dude deserves the shit he gets not because of the crappy movies he's made (although the first rush hour will always be a guilty pleasure) but because the guys a [frick]ing ass hole

@SuperDude001: One boring Superman movie. Big deal. He also made 2 Excellent X-Men movies. So, I don't see the hate towards his X-Men movies.

UGH!

Why couldn't they just have kept the cast from First Class and went on from there.

Mystique better have her vocoder voice from the first 3 films then...

I hope Rogue has some of the testicular fortitude, figuratively speaking, that she lacked in the previous movies.

YES!!!

YES!!!!!

HOLY crap, this movie just keeps getting better and better! I mean, Rogue and Iceman are welcome additions to the film, but ELLEN PAGE returning as KITTY PRYDE?!? That's a dream come true! I never thought she'd do it again after being in one of the worst films of the series (and, you know, after getting a solid career).

I wonder if Kitty is going to be as integral to the story as she was in the comics? It would only be smart, after all-- when Ratner got Page for Last Stand, she was still a relative unknown actress. Now she's been in a series of huge hits, and built up a substantial degree of audience awareness-- so why not use it? I'm not saying she should be the main FOCUS of the film, but she should definitely be more prominent than she was in Last Stand...

Seriously, this movie is going to be AWESOME!!!

Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page and Shawn Ashmore.

Mother of God

Even if this doesn't turn out fantastic, this will be a landmark in casting.

Now my second most excited CBM after Man of Steel

I believe in Singer.

And to think, the casting may not even be over.

Greatly disliked the portrayal of all 3 of these actors, especially Rogue. Why doesn't he announce some of the good ones coming back? Really wished these 3 would get recasted and the characters given some umph.
